  • Top edges for cookie cutters: The edge panel has a new "Top edges" button that picks only the edges along the very top of a body - build an outline as a stroke, then chamfer its top edges for a cookie cutter. Through MCP, layerling_apply_edge_treatment takes edgeIds: "top". Asked for by @hlmodtech in #154.
  • Plate labels can be switched off: The design's name on the plate and the printer's name and build volume in its corner can be hidden with "Plate labels" in the settings, for anyone who finds them distracting. Asked for by @jamesjoyce2208 in #192.
  • Sketch strokes free their memory: Working out a stroked sketch left its intermediate outlines in the geometry library's memory, and the preview works it out again on every edit, so a long session with a stroked sketch kept growing. They are now freed.
  • Align overlay stays light on big meshes: The Align handles measured the drawn parts point by point on every frame; with a large imported mesh that slowed the view. The measurement is now kept until a part moves or changes.
  • The fill light starts exactly where it was: With the light at its default direction, the fill light now stands precisely where it always stood, and turns along with the main light from there.
  • Esc closes Align faces and Scale by percent again: The keyboard handler could still hold the state from before one of these tools opened, so Esc cleared the selection instead of closing the tool; Ctrl+A could likewise miss a body that had just been added.
  • A server project opened twice stays one copy: Opening a design from the shared folder looked for its existing working copy in a list that could be out of date, and could then make a second one.
  • Touch and pen drags no longer break off: Starting a drag with a pointer that was already gone made the browser throw and stopped the whole drag handler; now the drag carries on.
  • Security updates: Next.js 15.5.27 and sharp 0.35.5, within their version ranges.
  • A question mark on every window: Align faces, the "Sketch to 3D" menu, the visibility menu, the point and line bars in a sketch and the revolve preview now have one too; the shape menus, text, sketch bodies and imported meshes jump straight to their own section of the guide, and a reference point's card opens "Reference points" instead of "Notes".
  • Cleaner code: About 1,000 lines of code that nothing used any more, unused imports and four unused texts are gone.
  • Docs caught up: The README, the quick guide and the welcome text now mention the sketch stroke, the light and shadow settings, the draggable pivot, Multicolor in the export and the workplane on corners and edges; the quick guide no longer says that only a closed outline makes a body.
