  • Metric threads up to M24 (#659): The size list of the thread stopped at M12, while the inch sizes go up to 1 inch. It now goes on with M14, M16, M18, M20, M22 and M24, each with its standard coarse pitch (2, 2, 2.5, 2.5, 2.5 and 3 mm), the socket head of ISO 4762 and the nut of ISO 4032, so they fit bought screws and nuts; the countersunk head is twice the diameter, as for the smaller sizes. The MCP server and the guide (every language) name them too. A free diameter takes the pitch of the nearest size in the list, so one of 21 mm now gets the 2.5 mm of M20 and M22 instead of the 2.54 mm of 3/4". Asked for by @i8ahorse in #659.
  • "Set down on a face" no longer puts the body back on a tablet (#619): After a long press, choosing "Set down on a face" and tapping a face showed "1 part(s) set down on the face", but the body stayed where it was, and only Undo showed it on the face. The long press had also begun moving the body under the finger, and on the iPad the finger's end did not reach the 3D view, so that move stayed open; the tap that set the body down ended it, and it wrote the body's old place over the new one as a step of its own. The long press now drops the move it began when the menu opens, and the end of a move made by another finger no longer counts (both in WorkplaneViewport.tsx). Tried in a headless Edge with touch events and the finger's end held back as on the iPad: before, the body stayed; now it lands on the face. Reported with a screen recording by @grandmaofdragonz on GitHub.
  • A copy of an imported part set to hole takes the whole part away (#607): Every hole was made a thousandth of a millimetre wider on each side, so that one touching a wall along a line does not cut a slab out of it (#254). It did that by scaling the hole round its middle, which widens a box or a cylinder all round, but on a long imported SVG it pushed both walls of a letter far from the middle the same way: one wall of the copy missed the original by that thousandth, and a thin strip of wall stayed standing after grouping, even with the hole made taller. Imported meshes, sketch bodies, texts and groups used as holes now keep their width and depth exactly and are padded only at the top and bottom; simple shapes keep the thousandth. Tried with the reported SVG: the part and its copy cancel out, the same size or taller. Reported by @stainlessdmc12 in #607.
  • A sketch can become another kind of body, an imported SVG a revolve (#655): The kind of body - extruded, revolved or swept - was chosen when a sketch was started and could not change, so an SVG, which comes in extruded, could only become a round body by copying its outline into a new revolve sketch. The badge at the top of the sketch is now a choice of the three, also while the sketch of an existing body is edited. Switched to another kind, finishing builds a new body of that kind from the same outline in the old one's place, with its id, name and colour, standing where it stood with its foot at the same height (sketchBodyAsOperation in editorSketchCad.ts); switched back, the body is edited as before. A revolve is drawn on the plate from the front, and an outline reaching across the axis - an SVG is centred on itself - moves left until its rightmost point lies on the axis (sketchProfileLeftOfAxis, undone with Ctrl+Z), so the half cross-section of an SVG turns about its straight side into an exact body. Also through the MCP action layerling_update_object with sketchOperation. The sketch chapter of the guide says so in every language. Tried in a headless Edge through the badge and through the MCP bridge. Asked for by @Megamudpie on GitHub.
  • Hollowing closed all round says where the cavity went (#658): In the Hollow panel Top is switched on when it opens, so a click on it to get an open top switches it off, and the body is hollowed with no side open. From outside it looked as if nothing had happened. The message after hollowing now says, when no side is open, that the cavity is inside and shows only in the section view. Reported by @tpkeller on GitHub.
  • Holes can be shown more clearly (#662): A hole is drawn in a pale grey at about half strength, and among see-through bodies, which are pale too, an unselected hole was hard to find. Show holes more clearly under Settings, Appearance draws holes in a darker grey (#5b6670), less see-through (72 %, 60 % for an imported mesh) and with a dark line round them, also in fast mode, since it costs no more than the hole itself. The setting is handed to the shape builder like the edge lines and is part of the material signature, so holes already on screen change at once. Off by default; the guide's view chapter says so in every language. Asked for by @grmonsey on GitHub.
