Run the same 6.18 kernel as Rebuild, with the panel driven by simpledrm
from the framebuffer U-Boot handed over.

- kernel deb matched to Rebuild; now published to feeds, so a clean
checkout builds correctly (the wget previously 404'd)
- DTB regenerated with framebuffer-lcd removed
- end the deferred fbcon takeover before drawing, so Reflash's own UI
reaches the panel at all - console=serial meant nothing ever released
it, and simpledrm only scans out once a client enables the CRTC
- rotate-screen writes both connector names, so it can still rotate an
older sun4i-based Rebuild image as well as a simpledrm one
- U-Boot stdout/stderr to serial after the splash
- image build hardened: copy the kernel deb by name rather than globbing

Verified on Recore A8: panel comes up on its own after boot and updates
during a flash.

Changes since v1.0.1

Platform

  • Rebuilt Reflash on Debian trixie (#87): USB gadget flashing, WiFi setup, settings security
  • rotate-screen: recognize Debian 13 for the weston transform update (#89)
  • Added a PLYMOUTH place to rotate-screen for the DRM panel orientation (#91)

Upload/transfer reliability

  • Sped up and stabilized local file upload (#96): binary chunk protocol with retry/backoff, closes the slow-upload issue
  • Keep the upload destination file open across chunks instead of reopening per chunk (#94)
  • Fixed lastLine() killing the whole server process via log.Fatal on a malformed log line (#93)

Provisioning / eMMC config partition

  • Fixed create-recore-config to actually provision the eMMC config (#98)
  • Distinguish missing calibration file from no internet connection (#99)
  • Always unmount the config partition in get-recore-serial-number, even on failure (#100)
  • Restored a real GPT partition table in create-recore-config (#111) - keeps the config partition format compatible with Rebuild's independently-maintained readers (get-recore-revision, get-serial-number, get-recore-config) and the real A8 factory provisioning process, across Reflash and Rebuild's different kernel branches

WiFi

  • wifi-connect: bumped DHCP wait from 10s to 30s (#92)
  • Fixed WiFi setup leaving the board unreachable if the station-mode connection failed - wifi-connect now falls back to the hotspot automatically, and the UI stops polling a dead origin and shows reconnect guidance instead (#108)
  • Hide download options (Rebuild/Magic) when there's no internet connection, and removed the unused Refactor download method (#106)

Reliability fixes found via live testing

  • Fixed the log stream dying silently and never reconnecting across WiFi AP/station mode switches (#107)
  • Fixed cancelling a backup showing a generic error instead of reporting it as cancelled (#103)
  • Surfaced the real underlying error when magic-mode flashing fails, instead of a generic message (#101)
  • Fixed expand-usb's first-boot partition-creation race, which could leave a fresh board without a working USB config partition or SSH access (#109)
  • Fixed progress polling silently dying on a transient timeout, which could make a still-running flash look frozen in the UI (#110)
  • Gave each Reflash board its own persistent SSH host key instead of a shared/baked-in one (#102)

Other

  • Removed dead/unused scripts (#104)
  • Show the Reflash version on the embedded screen (#97)
