What's new
Templates
- Groups are now templates. Templates nest: one under another is a kind of it. The top ones are the filters and colours (D&D 5e: Weapon, Armor, Gear & Tools, Consumables, Container, Magic Item, Treasure & Trinkets, Document); the ones under them are sub-filters in shades of their colour, and their categories one level more (Gear & Tools ▸ Tools ▸ Artisan's Tools).
- Your templates work like the system's (you can also edit and delete yours): put one under any template, give it a colour of its own or a shade of its parent's. A deleted template that items still use stays, faded, until none do.
Items and the catalog
- Inventory items follow their catalog item. Change a custom item in the catalog and every copy changes. Edit on an inventory item saves it as a custom item in the catalog (if other copies share it, you choose: change them all, or a new version for this one). What's written on paper, a copy's name, notes and count stay its own. Items you edited before keep their changes as custom items.
- Coins are Treasure ▸ Coin items in the catalog.
Containers
- The coin purse is a container: tap your coins and its details list them as items, with Gain, Spend and Consolidate, and where the rest of your coins are.
- A container's details show what's in it in the inventory's own list (search, rows or tiles, each thing's menu). It can show its contents only there, like a deck.
- Compartments have a container's options (what they hold, counted, weightless, sealed…) and either share the container's capacity (with a limit of their own if you like) or have their own. Gear strapped outside is a compartment with a capacity of its own; compartments fold like containers.
Also
- The Character panel's Abilities boxes fit the side column on wide screens.
- Adventuring Gear's "Common" category is now "Standard"; the template under Consumables is "Potion or Supply".
