Dashboard Tab
The Dashboard gives you an at-a-glance summary of everything in your device database. It updates live as each sync step completes.
Rewritten for v2.4 — the Dashboard is now three focus modes instead of one. If you're looking for the pre-v2.4 single-dashboard layout, that's what "Default" below describes; it's unchanged in substance. Updated for v2.5 — new MDM Migration Status, MDM Cert Expiring, Hardware, and OS-currency cards; see below.
A menu next to Run Sync (top-right of the Dashboard) switches between three views:

The menu only appears once both systems are configured (or already have cached data) — with just one system in play, that system's own focus mode is the only one that makes sense, so it's shown directly with no picker. Your last choice is remembered per environment.
Each focus mode has its own facet filter bar at the top — a dashboard-only lens, completely separate from the Devices tab's own search and filter chips. Setting a facet here never changes what the Devices tab shows, and vice versa.
Every number on every card is tappable. Tapping jumps to the Devices tab, pre-filtered to exactly the devices that number counted — any facet active on the Dashboard at the time carries into that filter too, so the list you land on always matches the number you tapped.
The top row shows four count tiles derived from the device merge:

Right: every MDM server by name with its device count, largest first. Jamf-only devices are excluded — Apple has no MDM assignment information for them.
Full-width row: In Warranty, Out of Warranty, No Coverage Info, Never Fetched — across all devices that have been checked (or attempted).
Three non-overlapping windows for devices currently In Warranty: Next 30 Days, 31–60 Days, 61–90 Days, bucketed by days until the AppleCare/warranty end date. A device already out of warranty shows up in the Out of Warranty card instead, never here.
A ring chart with the same four-way split as Apple Warranty Status, plus a legend with exact counts and a percentage of total (v2.5). Each legend row is tappable, same as every other card.
Segmented controls for Source (All / In Both / AxM Only / Jamf Only) and Managed (All / Managed / Unmanaged), plus chip menus for Coverage and Jamf Update status. The Coverage facet groups Inactive/Expired/Cancelled together under "Out of Warranty" — matching how the coverage cards themselves count them.
Scoped to devices that exist in ABM/ASM (deviceSource != jamfOnly).
Total Devices, Active, Released — same definitions as the Default focus's Apple Manager section, just as the headline row here instead.
Same three non-overlapping windows (0–30 / 31–60 / 61–90 days) as the Default focus, scoped to this focus's population.
A donut chart (Mac / iPad / iPhone / AppleTV / Unknown) with a legend — tap any segment to drill into just that product family.
A horizontal bar chart (Apple / Reseller / Manually Added / Unknown) — tap any bar.
MDM Assignment — same Assigned/Unassigned tiles and per-server breakdown as the Default focus's card.
MDM Migration Capability (right side) — a donut of Capable / Not Capable / Unknown, from Apple's isMdmMigrationCapable field. "Unknown" dominates until Apple actually populates the field for a given device.
Always shown once there's any AxM data. Five stat tiles — Not Requested, Requested, In Progress, Success, Failed — rather than a donut: migration data is typically extremely skewed (nearly everything "Not Requested" until migrations actually start), and a donut renders a real-but-small count like "4 of 1,325" as a roughly one-degree sliver that's effectively invisible. Stat tiles give every status equal visual weight regardless of proportion.
A Deadline Approaching row (Next 30 / 31–60 / 61–90 Days) appears underneath once at least one device has an in-progress migration (Requested or In Progress) with a deadline set — Apple caps migration deadlines at 90 days out, so these three windows cover the full range. A completed or failed migration has no live deadline and is never counted here.
A year-over-year bar chart of devices by the year they were added to your organisation (addedToOrgDate — used instead of orderDate, which is frequently absent from Apple's API for reseller purchases or manually-added devices).

Last AxM sync timestamp and this-run fetch count — moved to the bottom of the dashboard in v2.5, below Coverage Distribution.

Scoped to devices that exist in Jamf (deviceSource != axmOnly) — a device released in real life but not yet removed from ABM/ASM simply won't appear here if it has no Jamf record.

Device Type — a donut chart splitting Computers vs. Mobile.
Check-in Freshness — a donut chart across all Jamf-having devices: Today / This Week / This Month / Stale (30+ days) / Never.

Two cards (shown only for the device types actually present). Each now leads with an OS currency row (v2.5) — Current (N) / N-1 / N-2 stat tiles, where N is whichever major version is actually newest in your fleet right now (never a hardcoded target, so it can't go stale as Apple ships new versions). Below that, the existing horizontal bar chart of every version present, sorted numerically so e.g. "26" doesn't sort ahead of "9" the way a plain string sort would. Mac and mobile OS numbers — and their own separate "Current/N-1/N-2," computed independently — are kept apart even though Apple's unified yearly versioning means a macOS and an iOS release can share the same major number; mixing them would be meaningless.
Same 0–30/31–60/61–90-day AppleCare expiry windows as the other two focus modes, but restricted to devices Jamf also has a record of (deviceSource == both) — an AxM-only device is never counted here since this card describes the Jamf fleet. Only shown when Apple/AxM is configured (there's no AppleCare data to show in a Jamf-only environment).
FileVault Encryption — computers only. A donut chart: Encrypted / Not Encrypted / Unknown. "Encrypted" covers both ALL_ENCRYPTED and BOOT_ENCRYPTED — the latter is common, not an edge case.
MDM Cert Expiring (v2.5) — a donut + legend across Next 30 / 31–60 / 61–90 Days, from the device's MDM enrollment certificate expiration date. A device whose MDM cert expires drops out of Jamf management until re-enrolled, so this is worth watching even though the underlying date has been fetched since earlier versions — it simply had no dashboard presence before v2.5.

Last Jamf sync timestamp and this-run fetch count — moved to the bottom of the dashboard in v2.5, below Coverage Distribution.

A summary row showing the results of the most recent sync run (persists across relaunches) — see the Sync Tab page for the full Last Run Summary breakdown, which as of v2.4 is Apple Devices / Jamf Devices / Coverage Checked / Jamf Updated / Jamf Failed / Duration.
At the bottom of each breakdown section:
- Last AxM sync — when Step 1 last ran successfully
- Last Jamf sync — when Step 2 last ran successfully
- Last coverage sync — when Step 3 last ran and checked all eligible devices
These timestamps control cache staleness — if a timestamp is within the Device Cache or Coverage Cache window, that step is skipped on the next run.
