Devices Tab

The Devices tab shows every device in the local database in a searchable, filterable table. Use it to inspect individual devices, audit coverage status, and check write-back results.

Search

Type any text in the search bar to filter the table in real time. The search matches against:

• Serial number
• Jamf device name
• Model name and model identifier (Jamf model or AxM model string)
• Jamf username
• Jamf ID
• AppleCare agreement number
• MDM server name
• Order number (all six added in v2.4)

Search is case-insensitive and matches anywhere in the field (not just from the start).

Filter chips

The row of filter chips below the search bar narrows the table by dimension. Multiple filters combine (AND logic — a device must match all active filters to appear).

Coverage filter

Jamf Update filter

Chip	Shows
Synced	Warranty data was successfully written to Jamf
Failed	Write-back failed (PATCH returned an error)
Pending	Coverage fetched but write-back not yet attempted
Skipped	Device skipped (no Jamf ID, or AxM-only)

The Jamf Update filter only matches devices that are In Both or Jamf Only — AxM-only devices are never eligible for write-back and are excluded from all WB filter results.

Device type filter

Chip	Shows

Mobile Devices	iPads, iPhones, Apple TVs, iPod touches

Device type is derived from the ABM productFamily field when available (most reliable), with Jamf deviceType as a fallback.

MDM Server filter

Option	Shows
All MDM Servers	All devices (no filter)
Unassigned	AxM devices not assigned to any MDM server
(server name)	Devices assigned to that specific MDM server

The MDM Server dropdown is populated after the first sync that includes a live orgDevices fetch. The Unassigned option is always available once any AxM data exists. Jamf-only devices are excluded from all MDM filters.

MDM assignment data refreshes with the device cache. If Device Cache (days) is set to a long interval, MDM assignments may be stale until the next full device fetch or Force Refresh Devices.

Clearing filters

Click any active chip again to deselect it. All filters are independent — clearing one does not affect the others.

The filter row scrolls horizontally if the window is too narrow to show all chips at once.

Device detail panel

Click any row to open a detail panel on the right showing all fields for that device, split into sections:

• Apple Manager — all fields from ABM/ASM including device class, purchase source, fetched timestamp
• AppleCare Coverage — status, end date, agreement number, coverage fetched timestamp, raw JSON toggle
• MDM Assignment — MDM server name, server type (MDM or Apple Configurator), and server ID. Unassigned devices show an explanatory message. Only shown for AxM devices
• Jamf Pro — all Jamf fields including OS version, FileVault status, MAC address, last contact, last enrolled, existing warranty fields
• Jamf Update — write-back status, push timestamp, any error note

Multi-select & quick actions (v2.4)

The device list supports macOS's standard multi-select gestures — ⌘-click to add one row, ⇧-click to select a range, or drag across rows. Selecting more than one device swaps the detail pane on the right for a summary panel showing the selection count and two actions:

• Copy Serial Numbers — copies every selected serial number to the clipboard, one per line
• Export Selection… — exports just the selected devices as a CSV, using your current column selection from the Export tab

For a single device — selected in the list, or via right-click on any row — three actions are available (row context menu, and as a button row at the top of the detail panel):

• Copy Serial
• Copy Jamf ID (only when the device has one)
• Open in Jamf Pro — deep-links straight to that device's inventory record in your Jamf Pro web console (only when the device has a Jamf ID and a Jamf URL is configured)

MDM assignment

As of v2.4, MDM assignment moved off the row's badge stack into a small subtitle line under the model name (row badges are now just Coverage + Source, plus a "WB Failed" badge when relevant — four stacked badges was pushing rows too tall):

Tips

• Use Source = In Both + Coverage = Not Fetched to find matched devices that still need a coverage check — these will be processed on the next Run Sync
• Use Source = In Both + Jamf Update = Failed to identify write-back failures worth investigating — open each device's detail panel to see the error note
• Use Device type = Mobile to verify iPad and iPhone warranty data is syncing correctly via the separate mobile API endpoint
