GBA DS is a Game Boy Advance emulator for dual-screen handhelds, made for the Anbernic RG DS Plus (on ROCKNIX and on Android with GammaOS). The game runs on one screen; the other screen shows the game's own map, kept current as you play, or other second-screen information such as Mario Kart's race HUD, the way the DS Castlevanias use their bottom screen.
- Install on ROCKNIX: the zip, the Ports entry and its icon, starting games from EmulationStation's Game Boy Advance list, upgrading.
- Install on BananaOS: the same zip as a port on BananaOS, the light Linux for the RG DS and RG DS Plus.
-
Install on Android: the APK, permissions and the
GBA DSfolder. - Launching from Android frontends: GammaOS, Daijisho, ES-DE and other launchers, with the intent arguments they need.
- Playing: the game list, the pause menu, buttons, resume points, cheats, RetroAchievements, screenshots, and where every file goes.
- Supported games: what each game shows on the second screen, and per-game details.
- Map screen surrounds and overlays: the generated map borders and your own overlay images.
-
Settings: every option in
gba-ds.cfg, explained. - Troubleshooting: logs, and what to do when something doesn't work.
- Adding second-screen compatibility for a game: how a game's profile works, and how to find the values for a new one.
- Building GBA DS: see the README.
