NexusStrap can extract and use the official Roblox game icons for your desktop shortcuts.
When you create a game shortcut through NexusStrap, it automatically downloads the game's official icon from Roblox and applies it to the shortcut.
- Open NexusStrap Settings
- Go to Shortcuts in the sidebar
- Enable Extract Icons
- Create a new shortcut for any game
- The icon will be automatically applied
If you already have shortcuts that don't have icons:
- Go to Shortcuts in Settings
- Enable Extract Icons
- NexusStrap will update existing shortcuts with proper icons
NexusStrap can create shortcuts for:
- Desktop shortcuts — On your Windows desktop
- Start Menu shortcuts — In the Windows Start Menu
- Player icon — A dedicated Roblox Player shortcut
- Studio icon — A dedicated Roblox Studio shortcut
- Settings icon — A shortcut to NexusStrap settings
- Make sure Extract Icons is enabled in Shortcuts settings
- Check your internet connection (icons are downloaded from Roblox)
- Try creating the shortcut again
Sometimes Roblox returns a generic icon instead of the game-specific one:
- This is a Roblox server-side issue
- Try again later
- The shortcut will still work, just without the custom icon
