v1.4.0
AudioClip playback confirmed working
The AudioClip Play/Stop preview (and export) shipped in v1.3.0 has now been
manually verified end-to-end against real AudioClip-bearing AssetBundles - it
was previously untested since no AudioClip-containing file had been available
during development.
A CHANGELOG.md
has also been added, documenting release history since v1.0.0.
Two downloads available
This release has two builds - pick whichever matches what you need:
AssetStudio.Maui-v1.4.0-macOS.zip- built automatically by GitHub Actions CI.
Does not include FBX export orAudioClipplayback preview, since the proprietary
Autodesk FBX SDK and FMOD Engine aren't available on GitHub-hosted runners.AssetStudio.Maui-v1.4.0-macOS-Universal.zip- built locally with both the FBX SDK
and FMOD Engine installed, so it includes FBX export andAudioClipplayback preview
on top of everything else. This is the recommended download if you want every feature.
Both are otherwise the same v1.4.0 build (same source, same commit) - "Universal" here
refers to feature completeness, not CPU architecture (both zips already contain universal
arm64 + x86_64 binaries for the native libraries).
See the README's Requirements
section for details on the FBX SDK / FMOD Engine and why they can't be bundled directly in
either zip.
The app is not code-signed with a Developer ID or notarized, so macOS Gatekeeper will block
it on first launch: right-click the app -> Open, or run xattr -cr AssetStudio.Maui.app
before launching.

v1.2.0 - Wireframe toggle, 3D viewer cleanup
What's changed since v1.1.0
- Removed the on-screen debug overlay from the 3D viewer (diagnostic leftover from chasing a WebView data-transfer bug — not meant for end users).
- Added a Wireframe toggle button, shown top-right of the 3D viewer, for both
Meshpreviews and theShader3D placeholder preview.

AssetStudio.Maui-v1.2.0-macOS-universal.zip — Release configuration, universal binary (arm64 + x86_64), built with Xcode 26.5. Includes FBX export (built locally against the Autodesk FBX SDK).
Notes:
- The app is not code-signed with a Developer ID and not notarized, so macOS Gatekeeper will block it on first launch. Right-click the app → Open, or run
xattr -cr AssetStudio.Maui.appbefore launching. (Tracked in the Roadmap.)
See the README for build instructions and usage.
v1.1.0 - Release-configuration build (universal binary)
First proper Release-configuration build, replacing v1.0.0's Debug-build workaround.
What changed since v1.0.0
- Built in Release configuration (smaller, optimized binary; no debug symbols) after upgrading to Xcode 26.5, which satisfies the .NET 10 MacCatalyst SDK linker's requirement for the 26.4+ MacCatalyst SDK. See the README's Requirements section.
- Ships as a universal binary (arm64 + x86_64) in a single
.app, instead of v1.0.0's arm64-only build. - FBX export included (built locally against the Autodesk FBX SDK).

AssetStudio.Maui-v1.1.0-macOS-universal.zip — runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

Download
AssetStudio.Maui-v1.0.0-macOS-arm64.zip — built for Apple Silicon (arm64).
Notes on this build:
- This is a Debug configuration build, not Release. Building Release currently fails on this machine because the installed Xcode (26.3) is older than what the .NET 10 MacCatalyst SDK's linker step requires (26.4) — see #building in the README. Functionality is identical; the binary is just larger/unoptimized. A Release build will be published once Xcode is updated.
- The app is not code-signed with a Developer ID (only ad-hoc signed for local native libraries) and is not notarized, so macOS Gatekeeper will block it on first launch. Right-click the app → Open, or run
xattr -cr AssetStudio.Maui.appbefore launching. - FBX export is included in this build (built locally against the Autodesk FBX SDK). See the README if you're building from source yourself and don't have the SDK.
See the README for build instructions and usage.
