Legal Privacy Policy
정본은 Notion 공개 페이지다 — DURU Privacy Policy (앱의 설정 · 로그인 링크가 여는 문서, ADR-0033). 아래 「현재 본문」은 2026-09-30 Notion에서 옮긴 사본이고, 「Notion에 반영할 수정」은 앱 · 서버의 실제 동작과 어긋나거나 빠진 자리다. 수정을 Notion에 붙이면 이 사본도 같이 고친다.

Duru Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how YEONWOONG JUNG (individual developer) ("we", "us") handles personal information when you use the Duru app for learning Korean (the "App").
We collect only what we need to run the App.
Account information
- When you sign in with Apple, we receive an identifier issued by Apple. We do not ask Apple for your name or email address.
- When you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive an account identifier and the basic profile information that the provider shares by default, which may include your name, email address, and profile picture.
- When you sign in with a phone number (where offered), we receive your phone number to send you a one-time verification code by SMS.
- We create a user ID for your account and issue sign-in tokens.
Usage information
- We record how you use the App, such as which screens you open, which learning units you start, finish, or leave, and which settings you change. These records are linked to your user ID after you sign in.
- We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifier, and we have turned off location lookup from your IP address in our analytics tool.
Voice and handwriting
- Speaking exercises use your microphone. Your speech is converted to text by Apple's speech recognition, on your device when your device supports it and otherwise by Apple's servers. We do not record, store, or receive your voice.
- Writing exercises recognize your handwriting on your device. We do not receive your drawings.
Information stored on your device
- Your sign-in tokens, the app language you chose, and usage records that could not be sent yet (until they are sent) are stored on your device.
- To create and keep your account and to sign you in.
- To understand how the App is used and to improve lessons and screens.
- To respond to your requests and inquiries.
We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for advertising. We do not use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
We use the following service providers to run the App. They process information on our behalf.

Because some providers are outside your country, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries, including the United States. Information is sent over encrypted connections when you use the App.
- Account information: until you delete your account.
- Usage information: kept for up to 1 year after it is collected. After that it is no longer used for analysis.
- Information on your device: until you delete the App.
When you delete your account, we delete your account information without delay, unless we are required by law to keep it for a set period.
Delete your account. You can delete your account in the App at any time: go to Settings > Delete account. You can also ask us to delete it by emailing libitum-admin@gmail.com from the email address linked to your account, or by telling us which sign-in method you used.
Other requests. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop processing it, by emailing us at libitum-admin@gmail.com. We will respond within 10 days.
Usage analytics. The App does not currently offer a setting to turn off usage analytics. If you email us, we will delete the usage records linked to your account.
Sign in with Apple. If you signed in with Apple, you can also stop using Sign in with Apple for the App in your Apple ID settings.
Device permissions. You can revoke microphone or speech recognition permission at any time in your device's Settings.
We use encrypted connections and access controls offered by our service providers to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
The App is not directed to children under 14, or under the minimum age for consent to data processing in your country if it is higher (for example, 16 in some EU countries). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child under that age has created an account, contact us at libitum-admin@gmail.com and we will delete the account and its information.
If we change this policy, we will post the new version with a new effective date. If the changes are significant, we will let you know in the App.
