Warning

The 2.6.33 installer can relocate CleanZip beside another existing copy instead of installing it in /Applications. Install CleanZip 2.6.34, which fixes the package metadata.

Native Finder-style tables

  • Replaced custom column compensation with Apple's standard AppKit NSScrollView, NSTableView, and NSTableColumn behavior.
  • The Name column stays pinned and absorbs normal window resizing.
  • Other columns can be resized and reordered independently, without neighboring widths unexpectedly snapping back.
  • Refreshed saved column layouts and added regression coverage for sizing, reordering, metadata-free archives, and archive round trips.

The release includes a universal installer for both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs running macOS 14 or later, plus a manual-install ZIP and checksums.

First launch warning

CleanZip is ad-hoc signed but not Apple-notarized. If macOS shows only Done and Move to Trash for the installer, open System Settings -> Privacy & Security, scroll to the security section, click Open Anyway for CleanZip-2.6.33.pkg, and confirm. This approval is normally needed only once.
