Stream your own game
The library now has a Stream your own game shelf — the same catalogue xbox.com
shows, thousands of titles. Every shelf offers Show all, which opens the whole
collection as a grid; back out with B. Show all is fast now — it fills as it
loads instead of sitting blank, and reopening one is instant.
It tells you when a game won't start
- Don't own it? XFly says so before it ever tries to launch, instead of hanging
on the loading screen. - Not available on cloud? Some Game Pass games (like theHunter: Call of the Wild)
aren't supported on Xbox Cloud Gaming at all. XFly now recognises that and tells
you, rather than getting stuck. - Quit actually quits — the cloud session ends instead of being left running.
Search with a controller
Press the search box and an on-screen keyboard comes up — but only on a controller.
With a keyboard plugged in you just type; Backspace and Enter behave.
A menu inside the game
View + Menu on the pad (or F9) while you play: your account, the game you're
in, and the way out.
Also
- Keyboard-and-mouse games are badged on the card
- A "Leaving soon" shelf for games about to leave Game Pass
- Loading screens estimate the wait
- No Xbox flash or cookie bar between pressing play and the game
- Quit XFly moved to the home screen; everything reachable with a controller
Download: XFly-Setup-0.1.3.exe (installer) or XFly-0.1.3-portable.exe (single
file). Both update themselves in the background.
Windows warns on first run — XFly isn't code-signed. Click More info, then Run
anyway. Both binaries are built by GitHub Actions from the source in this repository;
nothing is uploaded by hand.
Requires Windows 10/11 and an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
0.1.2
XFly 0.1.2 — a menu inside the game The stream had no way out of its own. Quitting meant reaching for the mouse and walking through xCloud's settings, and it never really quit: history.back() left the session alive, streaming at full bitrate to a console nobody was watching. View + Menu (or F9) now opens XFly's own menu over the game, and quitting deletes the session. The library search grew an on-screen keyboard, because searching had always needed a keyboard the couch does not have. Quit XFly moved to the home screen from the bottom of Settings, where nothing that ends every session belongs. Along the way: the Xbox intro is skipped, the consent bar no longer flashes over the launch, xCloud's grip handle is gone rather than merely invisible, telemetry is silenced, loading screens say how long the wait is, and several Settings rows could not be pressed with a pad at all. Repository topics and page copy were rewritten to describe the project instead of chasing search results.
0.1.1
XFly 0.1.1 — Xbox Cloud Gaming, as a console A Windows client for Xbox Cloud Gaming that plays your library on your own screen, with your own controller, without a website in the way. - AI upscaling: the stream is handed to your RTX or Radeon, so a 4K screen gets a 4K picture instead of a stretched 1440p one. No card for it? The picture is cleaned on any machine. - The resolution you pick is asked for and held, rather than left to drift. - Sign-in happens in its own window; xbox.com is only ever on screen while a game is. - Controller-first throughout, local co-op with a second pad, ten languages picked up from the machine. - Works from countries the service does not officially cover. - Updates itself, both the installer and the portable build. - Logs are written to be shared: nothing that identifies or authenticates you reaches the file. Requires Windows 10/11 and an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Unofficial, and not connected to Microsoft. MIT licensed.
