Creating CHAs

The CHT now supports having single user accounts supervising multiple places. In this guide, we'll show you how to create a CHA who will manage multiple CHUs on a single account

  1. First we will click on + Add which is on the top navigation bar and select Create New under Community Health Unit. You should see the form below. Next fill out the CHA's details

fill cha details

  1. After filling the CHA's details, we will now begin adding the CHUs that they will supervise. Click on the green Add button shown in the image above and you will be presented with a form for filling the CHUs details. Fill in the details and click on the Add button again to save them.

Re-assigning CHAs

Scenario 1: You have a CHA with multiple user accounts for each CHU they supervise but you want the CHA to have one user account for all the CHUs they supervise

Using the previous example, let's assume CHU One, CHU Two and CHU Three had already been created for a CHA and the CHA had 3 user accounts CHA_1 CHA_2 and CHA_3 for each CHU. We now want to have one user account CHA_1 for the three CHUs.

  1. First click on Manage in the top navigation bar and select "Re-assign Community Health Unit". Next we will fill in the form and select CHU Two which is in Machakos.

  1. Next we'll click on the Add button which will add CHU Two to the list below the form, meaning it's ready to be re-assigned

  1. Next we will repeat the process and add CHU Three as well

both_chus

NB: The CHU whose account will be used to supervise the others should not be added to the list; otherwise, it will be disabled and will not appear in the final merged account User interface

  1. From here, we need to go to the ECHIS instance to get a URL Link to the CHA_1 account. We can do this by searching for the CHU One and clicking on their primary contact, in this case Test Cha

  1. Next, copy their URL from the browser and paste it in the user management tool

link

  1. Lastly click on the Re-assign button and wait for a green success message to show next to the CHU names. If all is successful, CHU One, CHU Two and CHU Three are all supervised by Test Cha on one user account. Click on Done to go back to the homepage.
