Glow Berries

There are no lush caves in a Skyblock world, so glow berries come from witches:

  1. Kill witches — they drop glowstone dust (more with Looting).
  2. Grow a sweet berry bush (sweet berries from a stone hoe on short grass).
  3. Wait until the bush is fully grown.
  4. Harvest it while holding glowstone dust in your main hand.
  5. The harvested sweet berries turn into glow berries — one glowstone dust is consumed.

Note

The dust must be in your main hand: without it, the bush gives regular sweet berries.

Mushrooms

Trying to cure Zombie Villagers by hoping a witch throws a Potion of Weakness at you — so you can reach them without dying — is hard. You might as well brew the potion yourself.

Mushrooms are far easier: just let the composter's mycelium spread.

Setting it up

  1. Surround a composter with mud (1 to 8 blocks, at least one touching a side).
  2. Fill the composter to the top (level 8).
  3. Do not collect the bone meal — leave it full.
  4. Look at the composter to start the process.

What happens

Time Result
5 minutes The mud turns into mycelium
10 minutes Mushrooms pop out (up to 8) and the mycelium turns into coarse dirt

Note

Starting the process empties the composter, so no bone meal. Refill it to level 8 for another cycle.

Important

The mud is used up: it becomes coarse dirt. You need fresh mud for every batch.

Tip

Each mud block gives one mushroom, red or brown depending on its position.
