May 1st 2024 Greybox + Enemy Playtest
The 2 main things I'm looking for in this playtest are the enemy encounter balance and the size of the level itself. I know that I tend to make encounters harder than most and I also like the freedom of larger levels so feedback on these 2 points is crucial to me in these stages.
Takeaways
Main Room Size is too big
The central room of the castle is too big currently. I plan on adding the rubble to the room to see if that makes the room feel small enough without shrinking it. If the room is still too big after the next playtest, it will be shrunk down in dimensions
First encounter is too much
The first encounter has too many hordes of zombies and dogs at the start. The player doesn't have time to get their bearing before entering the level. The number of enemies will be toned down and the outside enemies will be rotated to face away from the player to stop them from aggroing immediately
