SpamLookup ships with some recommended defaults. In addition, here are some options to consider:
- Enable TypeKey authentication. You can even choose to moderate new TypeKey commenters.
- Use URL count limits. Perhaps moderate for 5 or more URLs; block for X or more (where "X" is a URL limit that you are comfortable with).
- Use wordlists to further moderate or block spam. More than likely, you already have a good selection of spam you can use to populate these lists.
