Operon v1.4.10
Changed
- The sidebar separates Workspaces and Specs. Specs open a dedicated page with Overview, Discussion, Sessions and Changes; Board entries keep their task detail view.
- Discussion opens the conversation that created the Spec, while Sessions supports continuing agent conversations with the normal chat, file and diff tools.
- Spec sessions are grouped by phase, show provider avatars and label the coordinating conversation as Coordinator.
- On mobile, open Specs from the project picker, switch conversations from the title and return to the session list. iOS and Android use the native back button and conversation title.
Fixed
- Discussion drafts survive switching between Spec sections and conversations.
- Spec chats, file reviews and annotations use their own workspace context, including conversations whose execution workspaces have been removed.
- Hidden conversations no longer consume annotation requests or clear unread state, and switching Specs does not show the previous Spec's response.
Operon v1.4.9
Changed
- ACP agents use their advertised model, mode and reasoning effort options, with support for switching them during a chat.
- Kimi discovers available settings when starting a session; Grok reads each model's supported reasoning effort levels.
Fixed
- The reasoning effort picker updates when the model changes and clears options the agent no longer offers.
- ACP sessions apply the selected reasoning effort before the first prompt and report unsupported values instead of silently ignoring them.
Operon v1.4.8
Changed
- OpenCode runs on version 2. Pick a thinking level, attach files, switch models during a chat, and see how much context is in use. Its commands show up in the slash menu.
- OperonSpec starts only when you run /operon-spec or ask for it.
- On the phone, the project picker lists Specs. Choosing one opens that Spec's conversations on Chats.
Fixed
- A long Spec title on iPhone no longer hides the project switcher and the inbox button in the overflow menu.
- Slash commands that share a prefix, such as MCP prompts, stay separate entries.
Operon v1.4.7
Added
- OperonSpec: take a change through grounding, competing designs, approval, implementation and review, with a coordinator for work that needs a decision.
- Use a Spec's chat as its entry point, switch the agents assigned to its roles, and inspect each stage and agent call in the workflow view.
- Open the conversations behind a Spec or workflow, including ticket chats after their workspaces have been removed.
- The board shows each task's running state, provider and assignee as they change.
Changed
- Projects fold independently in the sidebar; a Spec groups its chat, coordinator and tickets in one folder.
- Spec documents remain available as saved snapshots after completion; execution files are removed before the change lands.
- Archiving a task also archives its descendants, and archived Specs stay out of the sidebar.
- Provider labels, Spec controls, Markdown headings and mobile layouts have a more consistent appearance.
Fixed
- Messages sent during a running turn show where the agent consumed them, with clearer delivery state and support for changing Claude Code settings without restarting the session.
- File references open against the conversation's original directory instead of the currently selected workspace.
- Spec sign-off checks that the reviewed design is still current and preserves the full default-branch name during integration.
- Workflow sub-agents keep their own conversations without inheriting app-only MCP servers.
- Operon Code Mode reads structured MCP results and calls tools whose names contain a hyphen.
- The model picker's search takes focus when it opens, and the assistant shows as working during its own turn.
Operon v1.4.6
Changed
- The assistant, inbox, board and channels stay as you left them when you switch away and back.
Fixed
- The plugin page no longer stalls on its first open of the day.
- Quitting from the Dock no longer leaves Operon "running in the background".
Operon v1.4.5
Added
- Copy the full image from its preview with the copy button or ⌘C / Ctrl+C.
Changed
- Image previews open in a large viewer with zoom, drag to pan, actual size and fit-to-window controls, before and after sending.
Fixed
- Image attachments now reach Codex, ACP agents (including Grok), Claude Code and OpenCode instead of being skipped during message conversion.
- Release publishing retries failed updates to the download page's version instead of stopping at the first failure.
Operon v1.4.4
Added
- Models that can't load tools on demand no longer get every MCP tool up front: they reach them through a short program, so plugins no longer fill the context (Operon and OpenCode).
- A program's tool calls show inside its card; agent, schedule and task cards and approvals stay in sight.
Fixed
- The context panel counts what is actually sent to the model.
- Workspace mode no longer asks for approval for commands that discard errors with
2>/dev/null. - OpenCode: the summary written when a conversation is compacted no longer shows up in the reply.
Operon v1.4.3
Added
- The board, channels and workflows show every project at once, with a project filter.
- The assistant's messages and permission requests show up in the inbox and as phone notifications.
- The file preview marks what changed against a base you pick, with next / previous change.
- The file tree flags changed files and the folders that hold them.
- Search every file in a workspace with fuzzy matching, including folders you haven't opened.
Changed
- A message sent while the agent is working appears in its reply where the agent read it.
- "Open with…" moved from the top bar into the file preview's toolbar.
- The file and review toolbars have a new look.
- The workspace file filter stays in place when switching tabs, panes or apps.
- Phone: each screen has its own header, and the message box floats over the conversation.
- The inbox follows the app's language.
- Hover, status and line-count colours are consistent across the app, and settings pages share one layout.
Fixed
- A web tab left open across an update reloads itself instead of breaking.
- Review: the branch view no longer comes up empty when the remote's default branch shares no history with yours.
- Review: filtering changed files now narrows the tree.
- Closing a toolbar menu with the mouse no longer leaves a focus ring on its button.
- Development: restarting the desktop app no longer intermittently opens a blank window.
- The file preview no longer stays squeezed after switching pages or resizing the window; previously saved narrow panel widths are repaired.
Operon v1.4.2
Added
- Vercel AI Gateway as a model provider.
- Add your own model provider: any endpoint that speaks OpenAI Chat Completions, OpenAI Responses or Anthropic Messages.
- Assistant: a Files tab with the plans, reports and documents it made for you; files open in a preview beside the chat.
Changed
- The chat's session panel opens from the top bar, in a column beside the conversation.
- iOS: new tab bar icons, and the assistant's top bar shows its name.
Fixed
- A task dispatched from the board shows its replies and approvals in its chat, and opens as a tab when you enter its workspace.
- Picking a model in a Cursor or Antigravity chat now takes effect.
- An external agent's card no longer folds into "Ran N commands".
- Assistant: no longer replies twice in one turn.
- Assistant: steps that need you, like logging in, open in your own Chrome.
- Assistant: sending a message scrolls to it, and the conversation stays at the bottom when the phone keyboard opens.
- Phone: live updates resume as soon as you come back to the app, and it reopens on the tab you left.
- Assistant: opens much faster, especially on the phone.
Operon v1.4.1
Added
- Pin projects to the top of the sidebar.
- The assistant's top bar shows your Codex and Claude Code usage.
- Each assistant profile file explains what it is, when it's used and who changes it.
- The board's toolbar has an Agents button; tasks and dispatches link straight to managing agents.
Changed
- The board opens on the board instead of a channel; channels open in a side panel. On a phone it opens on the task list.
- Agents show as coloured avatars on the board, in the assistant and in the phone's chat list.
- Assistant: remembers small things that will matter later, and finds older details in its daily notes.
- Assistant: a friendlier default personality for new users.
Fixed
- Assistant: scrolling up the conversation on a phone no longer jitters.
- Assistant: the heartbeat no longer misses an alert, and no longer counts a check that didn't finish as "nothing new".
- Assistant: the phone's header no longer shows "Assistant" before your assistant's name loads.
- Long task titles no longer push the task list off the screen.
