11. DBeaver and Vault installation for Database access [Draft]

Download and install DBeaver

Install SSHJ plugin

• Use the following website to install plugin: https://dbeaver.io/update/sshj/latest/

Generate SSH key

• ssh-keygen -t ed25519

Share public key with SRE team for them to create account on admin host

• The admin host will look like this: ah-eu-west.onalabs.org

Make sure you are part of the data_analysts before proceeding with the next steps. Your team lead should be able to add you to this group. Being part of the group is what allows you to generate PostgreSQL passwords using Vault.

To find and update your database credentials within DBeaver please check the following link or try closing your terminal and logging back into your vault for a list of all the DBs you have access to.
