How it works

Good or bad spawn

Spawn Juicer looks at each spawn and decides whether it is good or bad in up to 3 steps:

  1. If it's in the whitelist, then it's a good spawn. If not, then move to step 2.
  2. If it's in the blacklist, then it's a bad spawn. If not, then move to step 3.
  3. If it's within the radius, then it's a good spawn. If not, then it's a bad spawn.

Whitelist

The whitelist.txt file is checked to see if it contains the spawn. You can add spawns to the whitelist by adding one or more rectangular area of spawns in this format:

corner_1_X,corner_1_Z;corner_2_X,corner_2_Z

If you have multiple rectangles, you can just add more lines to the file. If you want to only play whitelisted spawns and consider all other spawns as bad, then make the radius a negative number. Scroll down to see a good example of a whitelist.

Blacklist

The blacklist.txt file is checked to see if it contains the spawn. You can add spawns to the blacklist by adding one or more rectangular area of spawns in this format:

corner_1_X,corner_1_Z;corner_2_X,corner_2_Z

If you have multiple rectangles, you can just add more lines to the file. If you want to only reset blacklisted spawns and consider all other spawns as good, then make the radius any super large number (>1000 should work for everything). Scroll down to see a good example of a blacklist.

Radius

The macro builds a circle of radius radius centered around (centerPointX, centerPointZ). If the spawn is inside that circle, it's a good spawn, and if not, then it's a bad spawn.

Picking spawns

If you have more than 2 good spawns waiting for you, the one that is closer to the center point will be given, letting you play better spawns on average. For this reason, you should always set a center point, even if you are only resetting using a blacklist or a whitelist.

A good center point is generally just your first destination. For example, on gravel seed, it's common to set the center point to the blacksmith window since that's the first place the player turns to upon spawning. If you enable giveAngle, the angle you need to travel at to reach the center point will be spoken.

You can also just use the best spawn as the center point, but the angle spoken in giveAngle won't necessarily be accurate.

Recommended autoresetter settings

Most of these settings are made by runners with SSG PCs (Ryzen 5900x and 32 GB RAM), so if you have an average computer, you may not be able to reset as hard as them and get the same loading times, so definitely change these settings to fit you, since everybody is playing for different times and has different PC specs.

General guide to changing your radius:

  • Decrease your spawn radius:
    • if you have no loads (you're never waiting on a spawn)
    • if you're okay with potentially having longer loads
    • if you want better spawns
  • Increase your spawn radius:
    • if you want shorter loads
    • if you're okay with playing some worse spawns

If you have no loads, you should definitely try decreasing your spawn radius. If you still have no loads, then keep it since you're basically getting better spawns for free.
