You do not need programming knowledge to use Scriptly. Follow these steps to set up the software on your Windows computer.

After you install the app, click the icon in your browser toolbar to open the settings.
- Locate the API Key entry field.
- Visit the website of your chosen AI provider to generate a unique key.
- Paste this key into the Scriptly configuration box.
- Click Save.
The software now connects to your chosen AI service. If you want to change providers later, simply return to this menu and update the key.
Once configured, Scriptly runs in the background. When you click into any text field on a website, a small icon appears nearby.
- Rewriting: Highlight a sentence you already typed. A menu appears with suggestions. Click the one you prefer to replace your original text.
- Tone Check: Look for the color-coded indicator on the Scriptly icon. Green means your tone matches your goal. Yellow or red means you might want to adjust your choice of words.
- Smart Replies: When you receive a long email or message, Scriptly displays a "Reply" button. Click it to see suggestions generated based on the context of the conversation.
You own your data. Because Scriptly uses your own AI keys, your text only travels to the AI provider you selected. The software does not store your content on external servers owned by the developers. The connection remains encrypted throughout the process. Please keep your AI keys secret and do not share them with others.
Does the software cost money? The software is free to download. However, you pay the AI provider directly for the usage of their models. Check the pricing page of your chosen AI service to understand their costs. Most providers offer a free tier for light use.
Which languages does it support? It excels at Indian English, Hindi, and Hinglish. You can switch between these languages in the preferences menu.
Can I run this without an internet connection? No. The AI models require a live connection to process your text and deliver suggestions.
