Update Pandas on your VM

Pandas 0.14.1 has an update that allows reading excel files specified by URLs. Your VM had Pandas 0.14 by default. To update your VM's Pandas installation type the following at the Unix command line:

conda update conda
conda update pandas

Install the Seaborn package

• For today's session we will be using a visualization package called Seaborn. Seaborn is not included with the Anaconda Python Distribution, but you can install it from the Unix command line as so, using the package installer pip:

pip install seaborn
