NBA Street V3 Recomp 2.0 — online lockstep
NBA Street V3 — Recomp online (lockstep)
NBA Street V3 now plays online from Recomp 3.2 with the same deterministic lockstep used by DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 4 and Bloody Roar 4: both PCs run the game in step and only the pads travel over the network.
How to play
- Install or update Recomp to 3.2 (it updates itself).
- + Agregar juego → NBA Street V3, and pick your own copy of the ISO. Nothing from the game is downloaded: the launcher checks the ELF and reads everything else from your ISO.
- Invite a friend. Player 1 hosts the match and their memory card is used, so both players start from the same save.
What's in this pack
- The recompiled runtime built in deterministic mode (
PS2X_DETERMINISTIC=1), with a periodic RAM hash exchanged between the players to detect desyncs. - Movie streaming timed in emulated time, so FMVs run identically on both sides.
- Player 2's pad port opens automatically in online matches.
- The shared GS host with NBA presets: 4x, and DLSS (2x internal plus upscale), each in widescreen and 4:3.
Tested: two launchers inviting each other through the relay, a full match into gameplay with 151 hash checks and 0 desyncs.
The standalone PC/Mac build (no launcher) is still v1.4.1. Build notes for the online layer are in docs/ONLINE_LOCKSTEP.md.
