Button and Markers
Rhodan's Markers provides one button beside World of Warcraft's target frame. Its action changes with your target, and it remains positioned there even when you have no target.
| Current state | Left-click | Right-click |
|---|---|---|
| No eligible tank or healer targeted | Target the assigned tank, when available | Target the assigned healer, when available |
| An eligible tank or healer targeted | Apply that role's configured raid icon | Apply that role's configured raid icon |
The button shows L: Tank and/or R: Healer when it is ready to select a target. After you target an eligible role, it shows the role and raid icon. The default icons are Star for tank and Moon for healer. Applying a marker can replace an existing marker on that target.
The addon checks the target against you and your four party unit slots. Assigned group roles take priority. If a targeted party member has no assigned role, the addon can use inspect specialization data when available. For your own character, it can also use your current specialization if an assigned damage role has not caught up with a tank or healer spec change.
For the button's target selection action, the addon scans assigned group roles. It can use your own specialization as a fallback; it does not inspect every other party member to choose a target. If a tank or healer has no assigned role, targeting that person directly may still let the addon recognize their specialization for marking.
Disabling a role in settings removes that role's targeting and marking action. The button appears only while the addon is enabled, you are outside combat, and you are in a five-player dungeon instance with two to five party members. It is hidden when neither role is available and no eligible role is targeted.
The button is disabled during combat. It returns after combat if the dungeon and role conditions still apply. World of Warcraft's raid marker permissions also apply: if you cannot place a marker manually, the addon cannot place it for you.
