Release list
TurnEcho v0.3.2
Fix turnecho-install failing on Python 3.13 by requiring curated-tokenizers>=0.0.10, the first release with cp313 wheels, so the installer no longer attempts a Cython source build that crashes. Update release metadata, runtime paths, documentation, and installer tests for v0.3.2. (#7)
TurnEcho v0.3.1
Warning
This release is broken on Python 3.13: installation fails while building curated-tokenizers from source. Install v0.3.2 or newer instead. See #7.
Detect the installed Codex and Claude Code CLIs and install TurnEcho into each detected host automatically, for both GitHub and local-checkout installs. Add Claude Code marketplace packaging with a directory-marketplace local install flow, skip Codex-only files on Claude-only machines, share one versioned runtime across hosts, and roll every host back when any step fails. Update release metadata, runtime paths, documentation, and installer tests for v0.3.1.
TurnEcho v0.3.0
Warning
This release is broken on Python 3.13: installation fails while building curated-tokenizers from source. Install v0.3.2 or newer instead. See #7.
Support Claude Code alongside Codex through per-host hook adapters over a shared core, with dual plugin packaging. Synthesize Claude turn ids from the transcript plus a message hash so repeated messages in long sessions stay distinct, fail safe on unknown hosts, and add an audible end-to-end hook check. Update release metadata, runtime paths, documentation, and installer tests for v0.3.0.
TurnEcho v0.2.4
Warning
This release is broken on Python 3.13: installation fails while building curated-tokenizers from source. Install v0.3.2 or newer instead. See #7.
Start the detached background worker during UserPromptSubmit. Keep Stop hook worker startup as a recovery path for jobs queued after the prompt hook worker has exited. Update release metadata, runtime paths, documentation, and installer tests for v0.2.4.
TurnEcho v0.2.3
Warning
This release is broken on Python 3.13: installation fails while building curated-tokenizers from source. Install v0.3.2 or newer instead. See #7.
Fixes
- Build managed Python virtual environments directly at their permanent versioned path, preventing broken command interpreter links after installation.
- Validate the installed
turnechocommand before reporting installation success. - Restore the previous same-version runtime when replacement validation fails.
- Use the same managed runtime layout for GitHub and local-checkout installations.
- Run Codex hooks through the installed runtime directly without invoking
uvon every hook.
Install or update
uvx --refresh --from git+https://github.com/rmscoal/turnecho.git@v0.2.3 turnecho-install --updateTurnEcho v0.2.2 (Deprecated)
Warning
This release is broken on Python 3.13: installation fails while building curated-tokenizers from source. Install v0.3.2 or newer instead. See #7.
Warning
This release is deprecated because its installer can leave the turnecho command pointing to a deleted temporary Python environment. Install v0.3.2 or newer instead.
Original changes
- Store versioned, non-editable Python runtimes outside the Codex-managed plugin cache.
- Launch hooks through the stable runtime with a safe empty JSON fallback.
- Add atomic same-version repair and rollback behavior.
- Add managed uninstall support for the plugin, marketplace, runtime, and command.
- Document update boundaries, repair behavior, runtime storage, and cleanup.
TurnEcho v0.2.1
