Safety and FAQ
In short: yes, it's designed to be safe. Here's the model in plain terms.
The plugin reads and tweaks your game's live memory (RAM) while it runs — that's where your team, money, time of day and everything else actually lives. It never writes to your save file on its own.
So:
- To keep a change, just save the game afterward, like you normally would — the game then writes that memory to your save as usual.
- If anything ever looks off, simply don't save (or reload your save) and you're back to normal. No harm done.
💡 This is also why a few features say "save and restart to apply permanently" — they change live memory, and the game's own save routine is what makes it stick.
- Visual warnings on risky cheats. Features that can corrupt a save if misused (like Key Items, TMs/HMs) are flagged with a red marker so you know to be careful.
- You can't overspend. PAY mode in PokéMart Anywhere and the Mini Game Corner only ever charges money you actually have.
- Non‑destructive editing. The PC Box Plus Plus editor stages your changes — nothing is written until you press Save, and Discard leaves the slot untouched.
Menu text is blank or shows keys.
The Gen6CTRPluginFramework/ folder is in the wrong place. It must sit at the root of your SD card (or Citra's sdmc/), next to luma/ — not inside it. See Installation and Languages.
The plugin doesn't load on my 3DS.
Open the Rosalina menu (L+Down+Select) and make sure Plugin Loader is [ENABLED]. Confirm Gen6CTRPluginFramework.3gx is in luma/plugins/<your game's Title ID>/.
The plugin doesn't load on Citra.
Enable 3GX plugin loader in Emulation → Configure → System, and make sure both folders are inside Citra's sdmc/. See Installation.
The menu won't open. Press SELECT in‑game (not in the HOME menu).
Will my saved warp points / favorites survive an update?
Yes — your MyTeleport.txt warp points and your Favorites are kept across plugin updates.
