FAQ
Answers to common questions about the Selldone Android Shop. If your question is not here, open an issue.
No. Most stores should use Selldone App Builder: set a name, title, icon and splash screen and Selldone builds and signs the app. Build from source only if you need custom native changes. See App Builder.
Both. It is a native Java app that renders your store's PWA in a WebView and adds native navigation, login, QR codes and notifications. See Architecture.
Not for store content. Products, pages and design come from your storefront, so they update inside the app automatically. You only need a new release for native changes, a new icon or a new app name.
app/build.gradle always loads keystore.properties from the project root. Create it with storeFile, storePassword, keyAlias and keyPassword. See Build from Source.
gradle.properties sets an HTTP proxy at 127.0.0.1:8090. Remove systemProp.http.proxyHost and systemProp.http.proxyPort if you do not use it. Also note that JCenter and Fabric repositories are retired; replace them if dependencies cannot be resolved.
The Gradle wrapper scripts are not in the repository. Open the project in Android Studio or run gradle wrapper --gradle-version 5.6.4.
The login callback is selldone://{shop_name}.callback. Make sure manifestPlaceholders.shopName in app/build.gradle has the same value as shop_name in shop_info.xml.
Set shop_name in app/src/main/res/values/shop_info.xml to your shop username — mobile for https://selldone.com/@mobile.
The repository does not include Firebase configuration. Add your Firebase project (google-services.json and the Google Services Gradle plugin) to receive FCM messages.
