FAQ
No. Selldone hosts the backend: products, orders, payments, shipping, taxes, customers, hosting, CDN and SSL. The storefront is a frontend app that talks to Selldone APIs through the Storefront SDK.
A Layout is an independent web application (like this storefront) that runs on Selldone's infrastructure for a shop. Layouts replace traditional themes and plugins. See Deploy & Hosting.
The shop set in VITE_APP_SAMPLE_SHOP_NAME in .env (default toysworld). Change it to your own shop name and
restart the dev server. See Configuration.
setup fetches the Selldone modules as Git submodules. Make sure Git is installed and can reach GitHub, then run
npm run setup again, or git submodule update --init --recursive --remote.
The project's install instructions use --force so the package manager resolves peer-dependency conflicts between
the Selldone modules and their shared dependencies (Vue, Vuetify) instead of stopping.
You are running the dev server over HTTPS with a local certificate. Accept it once in the browser, or set
VITE_APP_DEV_SERVER_HTTPS=FALSE to use HTTP locally.
Attach your local dev server to the live website with Ctrl + D. See Develop on Live Website.
Run selldone from the Selldone CLI in the project folder, then manage
versions at selldone.com/developer/layouts. Every deployment needs a new
version in manifest.json.
Yes. This project is Vue 3, but the Storefront SDK works with any framework or plain HTML. The Storefront Playground is a minimal example.
Translations live in selldone/translate. See Storefront Translation.
