Offline DAoC 0.36b, with the Sluaghbinder

The complete single-player game with living player bots: the original DAoC client, the server, a clean world and the launcher, with the custom Hibernian Sluaghbinder class for you and the bots. Everything added since 0.35 is in this one download.

Other editions of 0.36: v0.36 has the classic class list only, and v0.36c adds the new game client (to 0.36b or 0.36).

How to install

  1. Download Download-OfflineDAoC-v0.36b.zip below (under Assets) into a new, empty folder with a short path, for example C:\Games\OfflineDAoC.
  2. Right-click the zip → Extract All…, and open the extracted folder.
  3. Double-click DOWNLOAD-AND-PLAY-v0.36b.cmd. If Windows asks, choose Run (or More info → Run anyway). It downloads the game (about 5 GB, checked part by part) into a new playable-v0.36b folder. It never overwrites an existing game; if it stops, run it again and it continues.
  4. Turn on the Windows feature .NET Framework 3.5 (how).
  5. Open playable-v0.36b and double-click START OFFLINE DAOC.cmd → START SERVER → wait for RUNNING → ENTER REALM.

Your own local account is created the first time. The world starts empty: create bots with the buttons on each realm's card in the launcher, which shows VERSION 0.36b.
You need a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 PC with an AVX2 CPU, 16 GB RAM (recommended) and about 20 GB of free space.

Coming from 0.35, 0.35b or an older version? Run IMPORT PROGRESS FROM OLD OFFLINE DAOC.cmd in the new folder to bring over your account, characters, items, money, houses and bots. Your old folder is not changed. Transfer guide.

Want the new client too? Get the downloader from v0.36c and run ADD-NEW-CLIENT-TO-0.36-OR-0.36b.cmd: both clients then play this same game, account and bots.

What's new in 0.36

  • A new game client (0.36c) for the same game, built in Godot 4, beside the original client. Both play the same account, characters and bots.
  • Raids: bot raids finished Darkness Falls (Legion defeated), Summoner's Hall and Tuscaran Glacier, and killed Prince Ba'alorien, Soul Reckoner and Hurionthex for the first time. The Darkness Falls bosses that stood out of reach on daises now stand in front of them.
  • Keeps, relics and battlegrounds: armies gather longer, march together and start the siege when the army arrives; rams and trebuchets attack doors in the right order; battleground armies attack the central keep together. You can take an enemy relic with your companion bots: they count on the relic pad, and eight are needed now.
  • Bots find their way: a map of checked paths through every outdoor zone lets bots reach hunting spots the long way around; town teleporters work more reliably.
  • Quests: classic quests give their item rewards (940 reward items added) and period experience, every classic quest can be finished from start to finish, and quest kill targets come back within five minutes.
  • Smoother long sessions: a slow memory leak that made long sessions stutter is fixed.
  • Classes: Necromancer and Bonedancer pets look as they did in 1.65; the Sluaghbinder has realm abilities, including its own Crippling Plague (0.36b).
  • Setup: one small downloader zip per edition, a clean default world (every keep, relic and battleground keep with its original owner), and the progress transfer tool now imports 0.35 and 0.35b saves too.
