Role Purpose

The Dispatcher role controls fleet movement by assigning orders, optimizing route plans, monitoring field execution, and resolving live operational disruptions.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage pending dispatch queue.
• Cluster orders and optimize multi-stop routes.
• Assign best-fit drivers and manifests.
• Monitor active runs and intervene on exceptions.
• Coordinate crisis response for SOS and high-risk events.

Dispatch Command Workflow

1. Review ready orders and priority constraints.
2. Build route clusters with geographic and SLA logic.
3. Assign drivers and push manifests to mobile.
4. Track completion, delay risk, and deviation events.
5. Rebalance workloads and correct status edge cases.

Decision Inputs

• Driver availability and location.
• Vehicle capability and readiness.
• Order urgency and promised delivery windows.
• Predicted route delays and congestion risk.
