DOOM RING Version 1.2
DOOM RING Version 1.2: bug fixes
Updating: download DOOM.RING.Setup.1.2.zip below, unzip it, run Setup DOOM RING.exe and keep
your DOOM RING folder. It updates in a few seconds and keeps your settings, keys and progress.
Fixed
- Crash when enemies spawn or despawn: the game could crash during fights when enemies appeared
or disappeared nearby. - Enemy hits not counting: hits that landed right after a jump, double jump, Meathook pull or
dash landing were cancelled. Every hit now does full damage. - Jumps cut short: a short animation around items, glory kills and enemy contact could stop your
jump or your run mid-move. You now move freely through it. - No fall damage: falls now do ELDEN RING's normal damage.
Changed
- Starting class Vigor 15: the Doomslayer starting class now has 15 Vigor (the Vagabond's
default) instead of 30, so new characters aren't twice as tough as intended. Existing characters
keep their stats.
DOOM RING Version 1.1
DOOM RING Version 1.1: initial release
DOOM Eternal's guns, HUD, sounds and combat music inside ELDEN RING. This is an unofficial fan mod.
Install
- You need ELDEN RING and DOOM Eternal installed through Steam on this PC.
- Download
DOOM.RING.Setup.1.1.zipbelow and unzip it. - Run
Setup DOOM RING.exe. It finds both games and builds the mod from your own DOOM Eternal
install (5-20 minutes). This download contains no game files. Command windows may flash while it
runs; that's normal. - Start the game with Play DOOM RING, from the desktop shortcut or the .bat in the install folder.
Offline only. DOOM RING runs ELDEN RING with Easy Anti-Cheat off, on its own save file
(DOOMRING.sl2). Your normal save is never touched.
Features
- Doom movement: fast ground movement, a double jump with air control, and a 2-charge dash.
- 8 Doom weapons, each with its right-click mod:
- Combat Shotgun: Sticky Bombs
- Heavy Cannon: Precision Bolt (the scope needs a fresh right click; a killing bolt just kills)
- Plasma Rifle: Heat Blast
- Rocket Launcher: Remote Detonate
- Super Shotgun: Meathook
- Ballista: Arbalest
- Chaingun: Mobile Turret
- BFG 9000
- Glory kills, chainsaw, Flame Belch and Blood Punch: health, ammo and armor work the Doom way.
- The Crucible: up to 3 charges.
- Every defeated boss gives one charge. A boss with several stages gives one, and duo bosses give one each.
- Otherwise about 1 in 80 pickups gives a charge.
- Bosses can't be cheesed: no chainsaw, glory kill, Crucible or Blood Punch kills on anything with
a boss bar, mount included. Chainsawing a boss when you're out of ammo refills your guns. - Doom HUD: replaces ELDEN RING's HUD, with enemy and boss health bars.
- DOOM Eternal's combat music: 8 level suites, played by Doom's own music rules during fights.
- Your level counts: Doom damage grows with your character level.
- Each character keeps its own kit: ammo, armor, charges and health are saved per character.
- Settings window (F1): difficulty, chainsaw and Crucible limits, audio, HUD, and every key on
keyboard, mouse and controller. - Controller support: Xbox directly, PlayStation through Steam Input, with button icons.
- More settings: movement, gun view and much more in
game\natives\doomslayer.toml.
No generative AI was used for any visual or audio asset: everything you see and hear is DOOM
Eternal's own, converted from your install. The code was written with Claude Code, with intensive
human testing.
