Currently the optimizer sets only orioledb.recovery_idx_pool_size, orioledb.recovery_pool_size options.

This is failing in ubuntu land ==> amazon-ebssurrogate.source: E: Couldn't download packages: dash sysvinit-utils (haven't delved deeply into it yet). I wonder if some of the apt fixes I'm doing in #2326 would help.

Actually yeah I think it would, not sure whats going on with the us-east-1 mirror but the fallback should help. Also once that PR is in I'll be following up with dropping of update in all the ansible apt tasks (and the upgrade one too)

No the fallback does not help in my case either since debootstrap doesn't use it, its single mirror only. I added catting of debootstrap's log file on error and am seeing 503s on my runs, likely same going on here:
