House Access 1.1.13 — Steam build fix + full one-click bundle
House Access 1.1.13 — Steam build fix + full one-click bundle
What's fixed
The Steam-build crash is gone. On Steam's current House Party build (Unity 2022.3.62f2), the mod died at startup with Harmony setup failed entirely: Could not load type 'EekUI.DialogueUI' — and because one missing type killed the patch setup, every feature went silent, not just dialogue.
- Every game type is now resolved by name at runtime with fallbacks for both interop namespace spellings. A type missing from your game build now costs one log line and its own feature — the mod still boots, ticks, and everything else keeps working.
- Every skipped hook is logged individually, and the new Ctrl+F7 hook report writes
UserData\HouseAccess\hooks.txtlisting every hook with the candidate type and method names it looked for. Send that one file after a game update and the missing names can be filled in immediately — no LogOutput.log spelunking. - Method names are candidate lists (obfuscated + real names), so new builds can be supported without restructuring.
- The action wheel gains a label fallback (reads
SetInteractionslabels) so wheels still speak and choose on builds where the option-list member is renamed. - The full diagnostics dump (Ctrl+F2) now includes the hook report too.
Downloads
HouseAccess-v1.1.13-Full-Bundle.zip — recommended for new installs, contains EVERYTHING:
- BepInEx 6 (be.788, IL2CPP x64) +
winhttp.dll+doorstop_config.ini - The .NET 6 runtime folder (
dotnet) BepInEx needs - All speech libraries:
UniversalSpeech.dll,nvdaControllerClient.dll,ZDSRAPI.dll(game root) and theuniversal speechfolder - House Access 1.1.13 in
BepInEx\plugins - Pre-configured
BepInEx.cfgwithUnityLogListening = false(no startup crash), plusfix-bepinex-config.batas a safety net
Just extract the zip into your House Party folder (the one with HouseParty.exe) so BepInEx, winhttp.dll, dotnet, and the DLLs sit beside the exe. No other downloads needed.
HouseAccess.dll — standalone, for updating an existing install: overwrite BepInEx\plugins\HouseAccess.dll.
For Steam testers
If anything is still silent on the Steam build, press Ctrl+F7 in game and post the hooks.txt it writes — it names exactly which game-side names the build needs.
House Access v1.1.8 — Latest
House Access v1.1.8 — Latest
Everything fixed and improved since v1.1.4, in one release:
🗣️ Conversation replies
- The reply list was silent for 20 seconds after the speaker's line; it is now read out shortly after it appears — "5 replies. 1. … 2. …"
- Up / Down arrows browse the replies one at a time (each read as you land on it), Enter picks the focused reply, and the game's own highlight follows the reply being read.
- The reply cursor stays in step with the game's real focus in both directions.
🚶 Auto-walk
- Fixed a NullReferenceException that could kill a walk right after a cutscene; the warp step now falls back to frame movement cleanly.
- Fallback messages now include the remaining distance to the target, so a stuck walk is easy to diagnose.
🔊 Audio beacon (Ctrl+B)
- The beacon was completely silent (an invalid interop cast broke every tone); the tones are built correctly now.
📝 Character descriptions
UserData\HouseAccess\descriptions.txtis now completed with one blankName =line per known character so you can see who to describe, and the scan is retried once the party has spawned.
Install
- Download HouseAccess-v1.1.8.zip and extract it.
- Copy
HouseAccess.dllfrom the zip into<House Party>\BepInEx\plugins\, replacing the old one. fix-bepinex-config.batis included for fresh installs: after installing BepInEx 6 (IL2CPP), run it next toHouseParty.exeand start the game once.
House Access v1.1.5
House Access 1.1.5 — talking, walking and the audio beacon
- Conversation replies read out: the reply list was silent for 20 seconds after the speaker's line (a leftover from a build where the mod could detect the voiced line). It is now spoken shortly after it appears — "5 replies. 1. … 2. …" — and numbers / Ctrl+number still read and pick replies.
- Auto-walk no longer crashes: pressing End could throw a NullReferenceException right after a cutscene and kill the walk. The warp step is now guarded and falls back to frame movement.
- Audio beacon works again: the Ctrl+B beacon was completely silent because the tones were built with an invalid interop cast; they are now built correctly.
Install: copy HouseAccess.dll into <House Party>\BepInEx\plugins\, replacing the old one.
House Access v1.1.4
House Access 1.1.4 — builds anywhere
- Auto-detecting build:
dotnet buildnow finds your game's BepInEx install by itself (scans the drives for a folder containingHouseParty.exewithBepInEx\core+BepInEx\interop), with a repo-local fallback and a-p:BepInExRoot=override. - Complete installer bundle: BepInEx 6 (IL2CPP) with its
dotnetruntime andUnityLogListening = false— the game no longer dies with an access violation at start-up, so the mod loads and speaks. - No gameplay changes since 1.1.3.
Install: copy HouseAccess.dll into <House Party>\BepInEx\plugins\. If BepInEx is not installed yet, run fix-bepinex-config.bat next to HouseParty.exe after installing BepInEx 6.
