Problem

We need a linter to work correctly in this repo

Fix

  1. I have updated the linter to the latest version (needed for the plugin)
  2. I have added a plugin, the prettier one is no longer active as the updated linter covers all the issues
  3. I have made some simple whitespace and some simple css changes as part of this, each having comments pointing you to a place that will show that this will continue to work
  4. I have added some rules to turn the remaining violations into warnings.

This one i am nervous about as in the css-color-3 version of the link then currentColor is used....

Looks good to me, not as many changes as I feared we might need to make. But can we add in a PR description just so we know what the changes were if we have to refer back to this?
