Additional Covers

We support three types of additional covers: alternative, historical and square. Each of these covers should follow our IGDB generic cover guidelines outside of square. These should be North American or Worldwide covers.

• Alternative cover: This is an alternative cover that follows the IGDB cover guidelines. This could be from a different platform or an alternative that the developer/publisher has shared. These should be North American or Worldwide covers.
• Historical cover: For games that have changed covers over time, previously used covers can be tracked as historical covers. These should follow the IGDB cover guidelines.
• Square cover: This should be an official square-shaped cover, such as those used in console interfaces on Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox UIs.
