Veld 3.3.0 for Linux

Veld 3.3.0 is available for Linux x86-64 on Ubuntu 24.04 or newer.

• Start pool mining from option 5 in the node setup menu. Enter your public payout address and worker count.
• Fix wallet sign-in after importing the same keyfile again.

The download includes the full node, browser wallet and pool worker. Keep your existing data and pool account directories when updating.

Automatic Windows updates restore a previously running node and saved solo
mining intent. The Linux client includes a standalone pool miner that uses
an HTTPS pool, your payout address, and a private local account.

This update fixes slow snapshot history validation, improves recovery when a sync peer stops advancing, and fixes address-only mining settings that could fail to save while the node starts. Address-only mode can now use signed snapshots. Pool request handling is more resilient during bursts, and the client reports temporary interruptions more clearly.

The signed Windows client, checksums, signatures, and corresponding source are attached. Download from veld.network and compare the ZIP SHA-256 before installing.

Solo miners can now use a Veld payout address without storing or unlocking a wallet on the mining computer. Address-only mode waits for full chain validation before mining starts.

Windows also adds optional sign-in startup modes, an opt-in tray behavior, a local diagnostics collector, and a signed-update handoff that waits for the helper to be ready. Pool work timing now excludes local connection-queue and TLS setup time.

The exact Windows package was built from commit cdceef25ccc5612855d89e784e8f9fd09a6e755d. Source CI passed 48 jobs. The signed package, checksums, signatures, and corresponding source are attached.

Download from veld.network and verify the ZIP SHA-256 and signed manifest before installing. Close the old app before switching portable folders. Automatic updates are opt-in and checked while Veld Node is open.

Initial block download advances validated batches promptly and retains bounded
solicited work, reducing avoidable stalls and repeated downloads. Successful
forward-block validation restores only its own proof allowance; invalid and
side-chain work retain their existing limits.

Full historical validation, mining admission, signed snapshot quarantine,
consensus, rewards and fees are unchanged. Already-synchronized nodes do not
need to resync. The solo and pool hashing improvements from 3.2.5 are included.

The exact Windows production binary completed a fresh full mainnet download
with snapshots disabled. Native Windows/Linux regressions, signed updater
checks and the source CI suite passed. Measured sync time is specific to the
test machine and peers; it is not a completion-time guarantee.

Enable automatic updates in Settings → Release and updates and leave Veld
Node open for hourly signed-update checks. Use Check now → Update now for
a manual update. Saved accounts, settings and mining mode are preserved.

Veld 3.2.5

Veld 3.2.5 improves mining computation efficiency for both solo and pool miners.

• Uses an eight-block ChaCha20 implementation when the CPU and operating system support AVX2, with SSE2 and scalar fallbacks for compatibility.
• Reduces exact integer square-root and instruction-dispatch overhead. Hash results remain identical to the existing VeldHash algorithm.
• Reuses private pool verifier memory while preserving initialization, proof validation and resource limits.
• Retains the portal pool controls and interface fixes from 3.2.4.

This is a performance update, with no new fork or changes to supply, rewards, fees, pool payment rules, validator bonds or custody authority. Both solo and pool miners can benefit. Actual speed depends on the CPU, worker count, memory and competing workloads; it does not guarantee a particular hashrate or block frequency.

Opted-in automatic updates are checked hourly while Veld Node is open. Signed updates preserve saved accounts and the selected mining mode. A deliberately stopped pool worker stays stopped.

Qualification covers native Windows and Linux hash equivalence against frozen full-size vectors, CPU fallbacks, integer boundaries, concurrent nonce assignment, native verifier restart/refusal behavior, worker scheduling, release source checks, package signatures, updater recovery and the desktop pool-resume exercise. Synthetic scheduling and reduced-dataset fault fixtures supplement the native tests; they are not presented as mainnet end-to-end evidence. Natural hourly installation and a fresh solo-wallet unlock/resume are separate observations.

All packaged binaries and corresponding source use commit 204590109e35f3e33b1e955847e581f1175ffed9 and tree 97ee8f22d31f9bb43f970e908b850ac7702a421a. Verify the signed checksum files before installing, and keep the complete extracted client folder together.

This maintenance release does not activate btcVELD custody or claim completion of the broader custody qualification.

Veld 3.2.4

Veld Node 3.2.4 adds remote pool-mining controls and fixes Pool-tab hover flicker.

• Start or stop pool mining from the portal on a paired, online 3.2.4 client. No wallet passphrase or approval at the PC is required for these controls.
• Start uses the endpoint, payout address and CPU settings already saved on that machine. Stop also disables automatic pool resume.
• The portal distinguishes command delivery from a fresh report that mining has actually resumed.
• Invalid signatures, replayed commands, unsupported clients and incomplete pairing are rejected.
• Fixes unnecessary Pool-tab redraws when moving the mouse. Buttons retain the charcoal style.
• The accompanying website update improves Explorer and portal mobile navigation, places older wallet activity below the results, and removes obsolete launch text.

In the portal, select a machine, open More → Pool, then choose Start pool mining or Stop pool mining. Configure that machine's pool settings locally once before using remote Start. Veld must remain open and the PC awake and connected. These controls cannot wake a sleeping or powered-off PC.

Automatic updates remain opt-in and are checked hourly while Veld Node is open. The signed update preserves saved accounts and the selected mining mode. A deliberately stopped pool worker stays stopped until Start is selected.

This maintenance release introduces no new fork, hashing algorithm, reward policy, validator requirement or custody authority. Existing block-9,500 consensus rules remain unchanged. Solo miners do not need this update for a new consensus deadline.

Validation includes native command authorization and worker lifecycle tests, browser signing and command-state tests, Windows production builds, signature and updater recovery checks, and an actual desktop update followed by resumed mainnet pool work. The owner's remote laptop command and a natural hourly update are separate observations; this release does not claim completed custody qualification.

Veld 3.2.3

Veld 3.2.3 improves pool mining efficiency and keeps signed updates tied to the miner's selected mode.

• Reuse VeldHash working memory within each pool worker thread, with fresh per-nonce initialization and unchanged hash results.
• Increase work batches to reduce request overhead, limit concurrent connections, and reserve transport capacity for proof submissions.
• Retry temporary pool proxy and peer-readiness failures without discarding the saved account.
• Preserve payout addresses, CPU settings, balances and mining preferences. Pool miners resume pool mining after an update; solo mining retains its existing protected resume flow.
• Include authenticated gateway connection reuse and faster journal recovery in the matching server source.

Automatic updates are opt-in. Open Veld Node, go to Settings → Automatic updates, enable them and keep the app open. It checks hourly. You can also download and install the signed package below.

Validation includes production Windows builds, native hashing and request-scheduling checks, signed-package tamper rejection, updater recovery tests, and an actual signed 3.2.2-to-3.2.3 desktop update that resumed accepted mainnet pool work without another unlock. The fleet was updated one node at a time with chain-state agreement checks.

This maintenance release adds no consensus activation, monetary change or custody activation. Broader pool and custody qualification remains separate; these checks are not a claim of comprehensive security clearance.

Veld 3.2.2

Veld 3.2.2 improves pool mining and the portal. Update before block 9,500.

• Repairs Pool-tab scrolling and repainting, with charcoal controls and a green Paid accent.
• Reduces work-request overhead with bounded nonce batches and handles transient template races without weakening validation.
• Reports configured workers separately from workers currently hashing.
• Adds current pool-mining status to the portal, restores the Pool icon, keeps page refreshes stable, and removes How To from the portal.

The three fleet nodes were updated sequentially. The actual public automatic update from 3.2.1 to 3.2.2 preserved the desktop's pool account and resumed accepted work without another passphrase. Hosted wallet navigation was checked on mobile and desktop after its matching upgrade.

The block 9,500 activation remains unchanged: SHA-384 destinations with ML-DSA-65 signatures, removal of the aggregate ordinary-stake validator registration prerequisite, and the flat 0.30% AMM fee. Individual bonds, governance, finality and btcVELD custody gates remain unchanged.

Windows users should download VeldClient-Windows-x64.zip. Automatic updates are opt-in while Veld Node is open. Preserve wallet backups and the existing client profile.

Binary-build source: 1f77a67365ff9c3c36dae2a624feb35615446202 (tree 97898f972e3a6eb0cce2caf86475afa5e4988bc6). The release tag adds documentation and hosted presentation source; it is not the binary-build commit. All attached release assets are the same signed bytes already published through the official updater.

Source identity and executed checks and remaining qualification distinguish scoped results from full economic and custody qualification. This maintenance release does not activate BTC custody or fund the pool's co-mining identity.

Veld 3.2.1

Veld Node 3.2.1 adds integrated Windows pool mining, improves mining and window recovery, and prepares the coordinated upgrade at block 9,500. Update before that height. Solo mining remains available.

• Pool mode: configurable HTTPS endpoint, your own payout address, CPU controls, private account access, rewards and payment history.
• Fixes pool scrolling artifacts, restores an already running/minimized window, and improves retry behavior during synchronization and template transitions.
• Combines eligible earnings across accounts at the same payout address while preserving individual entitlements and payment recovery records.
• At block 9,500: opt-in SHA-384 key destinations with ML-DSA-65 signatures; removal of the network-wide ordinary-stake prerequisite for validator registration; a flat 0.30% AMM swap fee in either direction.
• The individual 10,000 VELD validator bond, 1,000 VELD co-mining eligibility, and separate governance, finality and custody gates remain unchanged.

Updating: enable Automatic updates in Settings and keep Veld Node open, or use the signed update controls. The original signed 3.2.0 client was tested through automatic public-feed discovery, verification, installation and mainnet solo-mining resume with the same payout identity and 15 workers, without another passphrase. Selected testers already on a different signed 3.2.1 candidate must install the final full package manually; equal-version manifest conflicts are intentionally refused. Preserve wallets, data, account records and signing journals.

The production binaries were built from commit 1c693db24de71e71bc45b26958da03340d847f5c, tree 9fb5c2ea6824a661c5d36cee2eae8ddbea798426. The attached Veld-3.2.1-source.tar.gz matches that build tree. The release tag also includes later web/documentation corrections, which do not modify those binaries. Build and release identities are not interchangeable.

Pool staking, genuine near-miss inclusion, lottery winnings, shared staking yield and real recipient payments passed isolated test-chain exercises under both rule profiles. The public pool has mined a verified mainnet block; its latest normal-maturity payout observation and broader qualification continue. Pool co-mining is not operator-funded on mainnet yet.
