• About → Open-Source Licenses lists what CastBay is built from (UxPlay, libplist, Apple's ALAC, OpenSSL, Media3 and more), each with its license's full text.
• Encryption now uses OpenSSL 3.5 (long-term support until 2030), built from source; the OpenSSL 1.1.1 used before is no longer maintained, and its license didn't fit the GPL.
• If uploading a problem report fails, Diagnostics says why (for example "timed out" or "could not connect") and records it, and the upload is tried once more first.
• Video and music playback (Media3) and the screens (Jetpack Compose) are updated to their latest versions.

What's new

• About → Diagnostics → Upload log sends a problem report (this device's details, recent events and the app's log, with titles, device names, links and internet addresses taken out first) after showing what will be sent. You get a report ID and a QR code that opens the feedback page with it filled in.
• If CastBay stopped unexpectedly, the home screen asks whether to send a report about it. To send such reports without being asked, turn on Send Error Reports (Settings → General, off by default).
• Anonymous usage statistics, off unless you turn them on (Settings → General): daily counts of casts and failures, the device's model and Android version, never names, titles or links. Turning it off deletes what was sent. Every field is in the privacy policy.
• When a newer version is out, About's What's New lists every change since your version, before you update.
• On the music screen, a long phone name scrolls instead of covering the song's title, and the line no longer says "connected".
• About and Settings fit narrow screens, such as a tablet held upright.

• 映湾意外退出后，主界面会询问是否发送这次问题的报告。想直接发送、不再询问，可以打开"自动发送错误报告"（设置 → 通用，默认关闭）。
• 匿名使用统计，默认关闭，需要你自己打开（设置 → 通用）：每天的投屏和出错次数、设备型号和 Android 版本，不包含任何名称、歌名或网址。关闭后会删除已发送的数据。每一项内容都列在隐私政策里。

• 音乐界面上，手机名称过长时会滚动显示，不再盖住歌名；这一行也不再显示"已连接"。

• On devices that sleep instead of shutting down, such as car displays, CastBay tries to start receiving again when the device wakes: when its clock is synced, or within about 15 minutes once it has a network, without being opened by hand.
• Diagnostics also shows each of those start attempts and how CastBay's previous run ended (closed by the system, stopped, low memory…), to see why it isn't running.

• About → Diagnostics shows what this device is and what recently happened to CastBay: when it started (and whether the device had just booted), boot broadcasts, keys and steering-wheel buttons, taps and audio focus. It helps find problems on devices that can't be debugged from a computer, such as car displays: photograph it and send it with a report. It stays on the device and can be cleared.
