About → Open-Source Licenses lists what CastBay is built from (UxPlay, libplist, Apple's ALAC, OpenSSL, Media3 and more), each with its license's full text.
Encryption now uses OpenSSL 3.5 (long-term support until 2030), built from source; the OpenSSL 1.1.1 used before is no longer maintained, and its license didn't fit the GPL.
If uploading a problem report fails, Diagnostics says why (for example "timed out" or "could not connect") and records it, and the upload is tried once more first.
Video and music playback (Media3) and the screens (Jetpack Compose) are updated to their latest versions.
