Testfold 0.4.6
Testfold 0.4.6 prevents passing framework reports from hiding unsuccessful process completion. Nonzero exits, interruption, timeouts, invalid or empty reports and Playwright global errors now produce truthful suite and aggregate outcomes without inventing failed assertions.
Partial results remain available for diagnosis. The release also preserves actionable Jest crash messages and excludes incomplete file inventories from unmatched-filter decisions.
Validation: 379 unit tests, 2 integration tests and the complete build, lint, workflow and installed-package checks passed. The published package uses the independently accepted clean release candidate.
Testfold 0.4.5
Testfold 0.4.5 makes --file filters trustworthy.
- A
--filefilter that selects no test file in any selected suite now fails the run with exit code 2 and is named asUnmatched File Filter: <filter>, instead of being silently dropped when another filter matched. - A filter that matches a file in another selected suite is not an error.
Testfold 0.4.4
Testfold 0.4.4 fixes Playwright summary accounting: tests that fail once and pass on retry are now included in passed and total counts instead of disappearing from the suite summary.
The release adds a regression fixture for terminally successful retry outcomes and keeps aggregate counts consistent with per-test results.
Testfold 0.4.2
Testfold 0.4.2
- Updated the dependency tree to current compatible releases, including ESLint 10, Jest 30, TypeScript 6, and Zod 4.
- Removed all npm audit findings and the deprecated transitive
globrelease. - Pinned the repository toolchain to Node.js 24.20.0 and npm 11.19.1 while retaining Node.js 22.18.0 runtime support.
- Hardened trusted publication to transfer only the verified GitHub Release asset and validate the exact registry bytes.
Testfold 0.4.1
Testfold 0.4.1 fixes CLI execution-policy overrides.
--no-parallelnow runs selected suites sequentially.--parallelexplicitly enables parallel suite execution.--fail-fastnow reaches the orchestrator and stops after the first failed suite.- Config defaults remain unchanged when no CLI override is supplied.
The release candidate passed 339 unit tests, 2 integration tests, lint, TypeScript build, workflow validation, package inspection, and a real multi-suite reproduction in News Podcast.
Testfold 0.4.0
Testfold 0.4.0 adds pinned continuous integration, exact npm candidate validation, and trusted publication of an immutable GitHub Release asset through npm OpenID Connect.
This release also makes the supported runtime contract explicit at Node.js 22.18.0 or newer and preserves the CLI executable bit in clean Linux builds.
Testfold 0.3.2
Preserve grep, file, worker, and pass-through arguments containing spaces or shell metacharacters as literal framework arguments. Dry-run now mirrors executable quoting. Package self-tests use the current local tarball and no longer depend on a slow registry install.
Testfold 0.3.1
Fix repeated --file filters, empty suite selection, and false-success results when a test framework does not create its JSON artifact. Also fix focused self-test file selection and add regression coverage.
