Release list
session-migrate 0.12.0
Highlights
- Migrate OpenCode 2.0 sessions through its public import/export commands, with
automatic native schema selection and title/UUID catalog discovery. Legacy
OpenCode and Kilo support remain intact. - Preserve ordered tool captions and images, validate native fields before
conversion, and explicitly report omitted structured-error details. - Fix atomic session writes on Windows without weakening no-overwrite checks.
Windows files inherit the destination directory's ACL; directory-entry crash
durability remains platform-dependent.
Thanks to @enricodetoma (#8) and @TheViniAlmeida (#17), with the OpenCode work
building on @tudstudent's focused implementation.
Validation
The release commit passes all 23 CI jobs: Python 3.11–3.13, the website, and
19 credential-free exact-client variants. Fresh isolated local validation:
1,755 tests passed with 47 explicit native/environment-dependent skips;
82 independent adversarial checks passed. All 185 OpenCode v2 checks pass when
run against the installed release wheel and stock 2.0.23 client.
Wheel/source metadata and contents were checked, both installed commands were
exercised, and the pinned Claude/Codex Docker probes preserved imported history
while continuing the same sessions. No real accounts or paid inference were used.

Changelog
Install or upgrade:
curl -LsSf https://session-migrate.github.io/install.sh | sh— Codex (OpenAI coding agent, gpt-6.1-sol)
session-migrate 0.11.0
Highlights
- Read root Codex rollouts written in paginated history mode from canonical
completed turn items, without replaying provider-only context. - Fail closed on history bases, subagent projections, conflicting modes,
unknown modes, and damaged ordinal sequences. - Add a sanitized Codex 0.153.4 paginated fixture and exercise it through all
18 target writers. - Promote native sessions from all 18 supported harnesses and every one of the
324 ordered migration routes into the default release gate. - Run credential-free pinned native-client continuations for the complete
harness matrix in CI.

session-migrate 0.9.0
This release adds complete source and target support for Grok, Kilo Code, and OpenHands, including discovery, title search, conversion, native installation, resume, and real TUI/native replay validation.
Highlights:
- 15 supported coding agents and 225 ordered migration routes
- native Grok paired ACP stream handling
- Kilo Code import/export through its official commands
- OpenHands SDK event import with runtime state rebuilt on resume
- concise supported-agent table with website-hosted logos
- pull-request CI across Python 3.11–3.13 and the website
Validation: 551 tests passed on each clean CI runner with 17 environment-gated skips; the fully provisioned local suite passed 555 tests with 13 skips; all three pinned exact-native replay/TUI gates passed.
session-migrate 0.8.0
First-class bidirectional support for Muse Code 0.2.1, Qwen Code 0.22.1, and Kimi Code 0.38.0.
- 11 readable and writable native formats; 121 ordered routes
- Native discovery, inspection, title search, transfer, and same-format rewrites
- Real OpenRouter continuation gates for all three new harnesses
- 558 Claude/Codex corpus conversions plus 33 inverse real-trajectory routes
- Cursor remains pinned, experimental, and text-only
The default test suite is credential-free and network-free. Provider credentials and runtime configuration are never migrated.
session-migrate 0.7.1
Highlights
- Transfer a uniquely titled session directly with
smigrate transfer --title "Fix event coalescing" --from claude --to pi. - Exact-title matches are case-insensitive; missing and ambiguous titles fail closed.
- Rebuilt the native Claude→Pi/Codex demo with one-shot playback, an explicit replay control, a readable title-based migration, a three-second completion hold, and exact shared-history highlighting.
Install with curl -LsSf https://session-migrate.github.io/install.sh | sh or uv tool install session-migrate.
See the changelog for details.
session-migrate 0.7.0
Mistral Vibe joins session-migrate as a first-class source and target.
- Native Mistral Vibe 2.24.3 read, write, install, discovery, catalog, title search, and resume support
- All 64 ordered routes across eight coding-agent harnesses
- Vibe text, linked tools/results, supported images, compaction, and Vibe-readable reasoning on same-format rewrites
- Exact native resume/append validation with model-visible migrated history and an unchanged imported byte prefix
- Updated website, coding-agent instruction, compatibility docs, and eight-harness social preview
Compatibility remains pinned to Vibe 2.24.3. Private/provider-bound reasoning, credentials, runtime policy, and client configuration are not migrated.
session-migrate 0.6.2
A shorter, safer coding-agent handoff.
- Use one sentence:
Follow https://session-migrate.github.io/llms.txt to migrate session [UUID OR TITLE] from [SOURCE] to [TARGET] now. - The canonical public procedure now requires the released PyPI CLI and fails closed instead of inferring native schemas.
- Raw catalog output stays private; agents expose only a structural metadata allowlist.
- The exact prompt passed isolated Claude Code and Codex sandbox migrations with source-hash, manifest, media, and tool-linkage checks.
Cursor remains pinned experimental and text-only.
session-migrate 0.6.1
Coding-agent handoff
- Adds a copy-paste plain-language instruction for delegating catalog discovery, dry-run review, migration, and native resume to a coding agent.
- Tests the exact instruction in isolated Claude Code and Codex Docker homes with synthetic native sessions.
- Requires one fixed
--session-idacross dry-run and apply, explicit warning review, no overwrite, and an unchanged source. - Adds a one-click prompt card to the public landing page and PyPI README.
See the coding-agent instruction and validation report.
session-migrate 0.6.0
Seven native coding-agent formats, in every direction.
Highlights:
- Read and write Claude Code, Codex, Pi, OpenCode, GitHub Copilot CLI, and Antigravity CLI sessions.
- Experimental, exact-build-pinned, text-only Cursor Agent support.
- Portable same-format rewrites and all 49 source/target routes.
- Searchable multi-root catalog across all seven formats.
- Clean-room Antigravity 1.1.16 and Cursor format implementations.
Validation: 293 tests; 49/49 route oracle; 1,400/1,400 dual-version OpenCode corpus artifacts; 414/414 supported Cursor-target artifacts; 70,915/70,915 OpenCode sessions indexed; 240 manually reviewed cases with zero mismatches.
Install: uv tool install session-migrate
Cursor remains experimental and transfers ordered user/assistant text only. Codex paginated/history-base sessions remain fail-closed. See the validation report and format docs for exact boundaries.
