You are in the in-universe reference. This page is the original satirical "manual" for LockedIn CLI. If you came here to learn to build software with an AI agent, start at the Home page instead — this whole project is a hands-on tutorial wearing a very confident costume.

The command line for your personal brand. Turn your terminal into a thought-leadership funnel.

v2.0.0 · enterprise synergy edition · powered by influencer-4-turbo

LockedIn CLI is a small, satirical mockup that looks and feels like a modern AI CLI — a colourful splash, an interactive chat session, slash commands, and a model that "thinks" very hard — but only ever produces content of questionable professional value. On purpose.

It is a mockup for fun. No network calls. No accounts. No data. Just vibes only.

The interactive session

Run lockedin with no arguments and you land in a simulated chat REPL, styled after modern agentic CLIs — a model card, a gradient prompt, a spinner that "thinks," and an engagement counter (likes · endorsements · recommendations) that only ever goes up, regardless of what you type.

Type anything and the model will confidently reframe it as leadership — or use one of the in-session slash commands. At an interactive prompt, press Tab to complete slash command names and aliases, plus fixed parameters: canonical mode names, numbers, and reset for /a11y, and currently supported codes for /language. Parameter completion also works through /accessibility, /lang, and /languages.

Slash command What it does
/help · /h · /? · ? List the slash commands. Only ? may omit the slash; bare h is ordinary input
/plan [goal] Draft a "strategic" content plan (may or may not execute)
/messages Open your inbox (it is entirely recruiter spam)
/feed Scroll your feed: always different, never new (alias: /timeline)
/profile View your faux professional profile
/model Show the static active-model card
/version Print version and existential purpose
/stats Show this session's engagement stats
/aura Scan your professional aura
/celebrate Celebrate your LockedIn CLI journey, with gratitude
/clickbait Fabricate a comment section full of engagement bait
/post · /humblebrag · /reflect · /connect · /synergize The content generators, inline
/language [code] Switch language for the rest of the session, or list all 33 — and always show the way back out of a script you can't read (aliases: /lang, /languages)
`/a11y [mode 0-4]`
/legal The fine print
/clear · /exit Clear the screen · leave (aliases: /quit, /q, /x; the algorithm will miss you)

Examples

lockedin # interactive session
lockedin post
lockedin feed
lockedin --resume profile
lockedin --lang es reflect "my standup ran four minutes over"
lockedin aura
lockedin celebrate
echo "/messages" | lockedin chat # pipe a session non-interactively

The CLI ships 33 language bundles (29 left-to-right and four right-to-left) — ar, bn, bo, de, el, en, en-SG, es, eu, fa, fi, fr, he, hi, id, is, it, ja, kn, ms, nl, no, pl, pt, pt-BR, ru, sv, tl, tr, uk, ur, zh, zh-HK — and autodetects your language on startup (override with --lang or LOCKEDIN_LANG). Every command re-rolls its content from pools of ~25+ variations each, now with structural permutations (the shape of each output varies, not just the words), so you can run the same command for a long time before you see a repeat. Set LOCKEDIN_SEED for reproducible output:

Arabic, Persian, Hebrew, and Urdu emit no bidi controls by default. On a terminal you know supports Unicode isolates, set LOCKEDIN_BIDI=on for more sophisticated mixed RTL/LTR ordering. Empty, unset, off, and invalid values remain off; there is no automatic TTY detection. Screen-reader output always strips the controls.

LOCKEDIN_SEED=42 lockedin post # same post every time

The gallery

Real output, captured straight from the terminal. Screenshots (splash, interactive session, messages, aura, celebrate, clickbait) live in docs/screenshots/.

One note about the model

influencer-4-turbo was fine-tuned exclusively on posts that begin with "Unpopular opinion:" and end with "Can agree or not? 👇". Its context window is your entire professional life. Never wrong one, because it has never said anything falsifiable.
