Trinkets

Trinkets are little keepsakes you place in your pet's habitat — pure decoration, earned by playing well. Each habitat has a few trinket slots; arrange the trinkets you've unlocked however you like. They're cosmetic only: a trinket never changes a stat, a grade, or an evolution.

Trinkets count toward the completionist North Star — collecting all of them is part of 100% completion (alongside the Dex, achievements, and habitats), weighted into the overall meter. See Achievements and Unlockables.

The twelve trinkets

Trinkets are grouped by what you're doing when you earn them.

Grade & trait milestones

Trinket How you earn it Achievement
Bouncy Ball Your pet's grade reaches B for the first time Showing Promise
Cushion Earn the Marathoner trait for the first time The Long Haul
Lava Lamp Your pet's grade reaches A for the first time Exceptional Quality
Bonsai Earn 5 distinct traits in a single lifetime Kaleidoscope
Gift Box Earn the Polyhost trait for the first time Bridge Builder
Trophy Shelf Your pet's grade reaches S — the legendary tier Legendary Grade

Token tribute

Trinket How you earn it Achievement
Gold Coin Feed your lineage 1 million tokens First Million
Gem Hoard Reach 10 billion lifetime tokens Ten-Billion Club
Crown Reach 100 billion lifetime tokens Hundred-Billion Heavyweight

Battle glory

Trinket How you earn it Achievement
Laurel Wreath Win your first battle First Blood
Champion Belt Win 5 battles in a row without a loss Unbroken
Crossed Swords Fight 25 battles, win or lose Seasoned Fighter

Every trinket is tied to a milestone you reach through real work — there's no shop and nothing is bought. And because nothing in Token Tamers is permanently missable, a trinket you haven't earned yet is simply still ahead of you.

Placing trinkets

Open the Loot page (hotkey 3 in the shell) and switch to the Trinkets tab to drop unlocked trinkets into your current habitat's slots. Different habitats offer different slot layouts, so the same collection can be staged in a new way each time you switch scenery — see Unlockables for the full habitat list.
