Sleep and speaker volume are ordinary MCP tools on the Pi, not custom AO protocol. Full decision: ADR 0004.

- Attention state →
sleeping. - Not OS suspend — processes keep running.
- Vision and VAD events are ignored.
- Wake word remains armed; only
WakeWordexits tolistening. - Enter via
sleep_enterMCP orPOST http://127.0.0.1:8776/control/sleep.

Prefer sink name comstar_hdmi when configured. Backed by bridge loopback HTTP GET|POST /control/volume.
Guest sessions must not register client.terminal — no sleep/volume control for strangers.
