🔴 ADDED NATIVE KLIPPER TAP SUPPORT
DKEU is now able to use the native Klipper tap functions made available in recent commits. This usable on both BTT Eddy probes as well as Sovol Eddy probes (or any probe named Eddy).
Important
DO NOT USE DEMON EDDY FILES WITH THIS NEW VERSION OF DKEU IF YOU USE THE TAP FUNCTION
Demon Eddy files are no longer required, DKEU will know if you have Klipper Tap enabled & have Demon Eddy in your system & will not allow you to continue until you either comment out the Demon Eddy include command or disable Klipper Tap in your printer.cfg
🔴 USER SETTINGS FILE CHANGES
There's been some variables renamed due to growing EDDY NG incompatibility in recent months. These still function as before but you will need to double check values manually after you update the file!
Note
Eddy NG Support will now start to be reduced & slowly removed as versions progress unless a new version of that software is released. The current recommendation is to no longer use it.
🔴 SOVOL PLR PRINT RESUME FIX
The Sovol PLR system Print Resume will now be able to bypass the standard DKEU start checks. This should allow users to resume prints after power loss as before previous updates.
...Theres also been a few minor fixes & edits along the way too since the last release.

🔴 DCPR (DEMON CLEANER PAD RECOGNISER)
This is a momentous release!! At LAST a system within DKEU that will help you setup your nozzle cleaning system in either fully Linear to fully Random modes, all done by using specially designed Mainsail & KlipperScreen interfaces!
Important variables are set by the user as the system guides you through the process step by step with the UI! Choose cleaning modes, locate your nozzle cleaner, set XY start positions, set cleaning heights, & draw out cleaning paths!
Then DCPR takes all that information & presents it to you on Mainsail, you can edit it as you like & change any value on either KlipperSreen or Mainsail & you can hit the "SHOW ME" button & the printer will move to the specified locations you have chosen to show you what you have set so you can check that it's correct. It will even draw out your chosen cleaning path for you! 😱
Not only this DCPR has fully integrated safety features that stop out or range move requests & even will prevent your nozzle hitting your bed by stopping it just short of Z0.00! This means you can use the system know there should be a level of protection helping to avoid any printer damage!
DCPR will NOT allow automated setups to clean below bed height. This can be overridden by manually changing values in the settings file after use if so desired. Although this is VERY bad idea! Easy way to damage your printer if it goes wrong!
Lastly DCPR takes all your settings after you're done setting, editing & checking them & automatically SAVES them to your the Demon Cleaning Variables file - so there is no need to manually set them yourself! DCPR knows & does it all for you!
Tip
Be sure to reload the new Demon Mainsail Backup .json file to bring up the new macro button after updating your install of DKEU to the latest version.
Update your KlipperScreen.conf file to add the new Prepare menu button! Check expandable section, CLICK HERE!
Note
You will STILL need to activate the cleaning system before first use! This is safety measure so you need to open the settings file & check that all is correct!

🔴 AUTOMATED LEGACY MODE FOR OLD KLIPPER VERSIONS
The process is now fully automated. The variable available in the previous versions to set if you have an old version of Klipper has now been removed as it is no longer needed. DKEU checks for you & knows! All you gotta do is hit print!!
🔴 IMPROVED START ERROR DETECTION
Improved error detection during print start process, will not allow starting of prints without correct code, will check the start process completes correctly & checks for missing SPS call.

In This update...!
🔴 Demon Print/Resume Object Avoidance (DPROA)
Are you fed up of your printer smashing into things when printing by object? Well no more! ...For Orca Slicer users at least!
DKEU now knows you're printing by object & will remember the how tall the tallest model was & will always try to raise the toolhead above that height before moving away from that position to pause, or change filament, it'll even do the same for when the print ends or it gets cancelled!
So you can breathe a little easier now when printing in this mode! 😅

To get it working you need to slice your "print by object" files with Orca Slicer v2.3.2 (or later) & to update your Machine G-code to DKEU v1.4 as shown here
Caution
Any improper use without the above prerequisites being met will result in the DPROA system NOT working!
🔴 De'moji - Add some personality!
Add some colour & personality to your console's output! It allows quick & easy recognition of important information & hopefully makes your day a little brighter!
All actions are allocated their own De'mojis for the tasks you give the printer!

Bringing together the previous little fixes & updates since the v3.1.0 release into an official release. Also adding CF & GF support for PLA, PET, PETG, ASA, & ABS filaments. These will now be recognised by DKEU when sent to print.
Additional CF/GF settings are available per filament in the demon_user_settings_filament_variables cfg file.
Also the Super Tack cool plate option has been added for Orca users in the demon_user_settings cfg file.
EDIT: Forgot to mention this here incase someone needs it & doesn't see it in the main repo documentation.
🔴 BED_CHECKER HEAT SOAK - NEW SETTING FOR OLDER KLIPPER VERSIONS!
In order to bring DKEU inline with recent changes to Klipper’s probing & measuring systems where the old method is now depreciated & is being removed the macros have been updated.
Users with new systems & mainline klipper need not do anything except update their Klipper version to the latest commit. However users with “stuck” or “fixed” versions of klipper like on Sovol printers for example will need to activate the old_klipper_version variable to continue using the BED_CHECKER heat soak system.
⚠️ If users of old fixed version systems don’t set this variable True then BED_CHECKER heat soak will error out & cancel your print as your old version of klipper is no longer compatible with commands required to run it so a legacy mode must be enabled.

Late addition! - DISK_USAGE_SCAN
When you have low storage (<500mb) the system will notify you with a prompt as it did before, but now you can scan your storage for any high usage directories to see where the space has gone! all from the console!
Be sure to update your mainsail .json file to show the macro button for use at any time!
The console output shows you the directories scanned with sizes shown on the left in K/M/G

Update to DEMON THEMES to include a MAINSAIL RETRO & MAINSAIL MODERN options! You can select the traditional retro style themes or a slick & smooth modernised themes with cleaner layouts & translucent cards! My favourite!
Demon User Files Handler
🔴 DEMON USER FILES UPDATER include command has changed! - IMPORTANT!
The multiple Extract_Demon_User_Files_xxxx.cfg files have been superseded & removed for the latest version & replaced with a single file instead! You need to update your include command to account for this!
If you're using the shell script extension then this is for you! This change greatly simplifies the setup & use of this feature, as well as a few others too!
You will probably be seeing an error about the Demon User Files Handler Version having no attribute & your disk checker is no longer working, or probably a previous user extract file no longer exists.
There are things you need to do to make sure this update goes smoothly! Please see the link below!

This update!
To celebrate the anniversary of 3 years of hard work & dedication to this project I give you all one the best updates yet! It took days & days & days of writing to get this all done, but it's ready & good to go! it has many little tweaks, updates & improvements to lots of systems, as well as whole new exclusive features! (LOL, yes AGAIN! 😂)
Plus this update contains something that I've wanted to do for a long time but was always put off by the size of the task.....
That was to totally re-work the entire variables system & separate it all out in different macros with each file & to split off the filament settings into their own file! This goes a long way to making them much more user friendly & also makes them much more navigable via Mainsail's File Structure sidebar! This means it makes finding the variable you want to change that much faster & easier!
You lot owe me a beer or three for that one I can tell you!! 😅 😆
New Installer & config updater!
Not only that there's a whole new installer system for ease of use, better choice handling & function. Plus there's a new contributed ssh config updater tool that can now do all user settings files & diff your custom macros!
There's no longer any need for the separate prerequisite installer!
New feature: FIRST HOMED AXIS PARK
If your printer needs the toolhead in a certain position to home its second axis, either out of necessity or safety, or simply because you like it that way, you can set to park the toolhead anywhere you like before homing the second axis!
Firmware Retraction now supported!
Change your retraction/deretractions & speeds on the fly mid print. New variables set per filament in the new filament user settings file!
Last but by no means least.... DEMON THEMES!
This is huge new feature that allows you to choose from 5 smoking hot (& ice cool!) Demon Mainsail themes with a single click right there in Mainsail, without restarting Klipper! Change interface colours, background image, side bar logos & even favicons! There's also handy quick links included too!
To make this feature easily accessible on upgraded systems remember to update your Mainsail macro config with the supplied .json file here..

v2.10.2 NEW Load & Temperature Setting Systems!
Massive Upgrade!
Introducing a huge upgrade to DKEU’s LOAD/UNLOAD_FILAMENT systems & temperature handling, no more just a single default setting of 250ºc each time you load/unload, now you have an exclusive popup menu containing 3 quick system presets that you can choose from on Mainsail & Klipperscreen, there's also 2 user definable presets & an adaptive "Current" or "Restore" temperature preset that'll appear/change depending on situation!
You can still of course select your own temperature too with a "TEMP" parameter either in a sent command or by using the macro button params field!
It works both while you're preparing your printer for a job & when printing! 😁🤩😎👍
However if you only have a basic LCD screen there is now a LEGACY_LOAD mode that disables the new temperature control & selection system. Look for this in the Demon User Settings cfg file.
Reworking The Unload Process!
Not only do you get the above amazing feature included in this release but the whole unload process has also been reworked too! Tested on super stringy filament that now forms clean points when unloading! Used in all DKEU UNLOAD processes. In testing it was able to be fed directly back into the extruder without cutting the end!
New Feature AUTO_COOL!
There’s a new 2 stage auto cool feature that after user definable set time will reduce the hotend temperature to stop oozing & then turn it off without triggering idle timeout if the printer is left idle! It only runs if NOT printing & certain conditions are met. Mainsail button options to cool or not & to what temp.

Introducing the new DEMON BED_CHECKER heat soak system!
Know when your bed, gantry & probe thermally settle, measure & see the results! Fully customisable with Eddy NG support!
This feature will take all the guesswork out of heat soaking your printer, especially if your bed changes its shape a lot during warmup & you don’t know how long to set the heat soaking for.
Now the printer knows! Save time, save electricity by only heat soaking as long as you have to!! It’s adaptive, if it takes 5 minutes to settle that’s how long the heat soak will be. Likewise if it’ll 15 minutes it’ll adjust!
Not to mention that this heat soak is user interruptible while it’s running!
You ain't gonna want to miss this!

Enable on/off & also combine with smart heat soak & temperature wait heat soaks. Or force only BED_CHECKER mode!
Add an extra initial wait time before starting to allow bed time to start moving. Set own time.
