Getting Started

Import and activate

  1. Download Andys_Salvage_Table_0.7.17.mcaddon from the official CurseForge project page.
  2. Open the .mcaddon with Minecraft Bedrock and wait for both packs to import.
  3. Create a world or edit the intended existing world.
  4. Activate Andy's Salvage Table [BP] under Behavior Packs.
  5. Confirm Andy's Salvage Table [RP] is active under Resource Packs.

First configuration

No configuration is required before first use. Everything is on and set to sensible defaults, and every safety protection starts switched on.

If you want to change anything before you start, the gear icon beside the Behavior Pack in the world editor has the full list of world settings. Every one of them is off by default, and off always means the safe, conservative behavior — so you only ever switch things on.

Craft the table

Copper Ingot Grindstone Copper Ingot
Iron Ingot Stonecutter Crafting Table
Blackstone Blackstone Blackstone

The recipe unlocks once you have a Grindstone or a Stonecutter.

Controls

Action What it does
Use the table Opens the salvage screen
Crouch + use with an empty hand Opens the settings menu
Crouch + use holding a block Places that block against the table, as with any workstation

Salvage your first item

  1. Use the table to open it.
  2. Put a crafted item in the Item slot — a Crafting Table or a worn-out pickaxe is a good first try.
  3. The Salvaged Materials grid fills in with exactly what you will receive.
  4. Hover the gold Recovery % icon for the numbers: the recovery rate, the item's condition, how many will be consumed, and everything coming back.
  5. Take any one of the materials. That completes the salvage — the item is consumed once and the whole result is paid into your inventory.

Nothing is consumed until you take something, so you can put an item in, read what it would give you, and take it back out again with nothing lost.

Console and server notes

The add-on behaves identically on a Realm or a Bedrock Dedicated Server. Recovered materials are paid to the player who opened the table, so two players using two tables never interfere with each other.

Server operators can configure everything from the console without a form — see the Admin and Operator Guide for the full command surface.

Calibration or first-run behavior

The first time you use a Salvage Table, a short message explains the controls. That happens once per player, not once per table.

Nothing else happens automatically. The add-on does not alter terrain, spawn anything, or change any existing item.
