Protection Rune Menu
Open this menu by crouching and interacting directly with a placed Protection Rune. No control stick is required. The owner, an operator, or a trusted Manager can open it.
The header identifies the rune's name, owner, tier, effective radius and footprint, exact Y range, dimension, protection state, and explosion block mode.

Sets a name from 1 to 48 characters. Formatting codes are removed. The name appears in player and administrator rune lists.
Turns the entire rune on or off. Off keeps its stored record and all settings but suspends player restrictions, explosion rules, grid, and ambience. Re-enable it to restore the saved configuration.
Sets a value from 1 to the lower of the tier cap and administrator maximum. A radius of r covers (2r + 1) × (2r + 1) blocks. Every rune covers Y−20 through Y+20 inclusive.

The tier caps are 16, 32, 64, 128, and 256. The menu refuses a radius that violates different-owner overlap or minimum-distance rules. Runes belonging to the same owner may overlap or stack. In overlapping protected volumes, an action must be allowed by every applicable rune.
Shows or hides the horizontal boundary continuously while the rune is active and nearby. The world-level Grid setting is a master switch.
Requests a temporary boundary without changing the persistent setting. Both world grids and the requesting player's Personal grid preview must be enabled.
Shows or hides the soul-blue glyph particles that rise from the rune's top well. This is independent of the flame and sound.
Shows or hides the animated, soul-campfire-style flame in the top well.
Enables or disables the quiet soul-fire ambience. It does not alter the flame visual.
Replaces the selected explosion sources and protected-block mode with Vanilla, Creeper Safe, Mob Explosion Safe, Survival Balanced, Build Safe, or Full Protection. It also resets every explosion entity-damage switch to off. See Explosion Protection for the exact contents.
Selects Creeper, Charged Creeper, Ghast, TNT, TNT Minecart, End Crystal, Wither, Wither Skull, and Unknown sources independently. An administrator's world source switch remains authoritative.
Chooses All, Critical, Storage, Redstone, or Custom. This changes which blocks an enabled explosion source may destroy; it does not cancel the explosion itself.
Applies Open, Build, Storage, Base, or Private as a complete starting restriction set. Applying a profile replaces the current restriction switches.
Controls Block placement, Block breaking, Containers, Block interaction, Item use, Entity interaction, Attack entities, and PvP separately. See Player Protection and Trust.
Lets the owner or an operator add an online player, remove a member, and select Visitor, Friend, Builder, Technician, Manager, or Custom permissions. Managers may configure routine settings but cannot manage membership, upgrade, transfer, or break the rune.
The owner or an operator can upgrade while within 8 blocks of the loaded rune. The entire cost is checked before any material is consumed.

Standard costs:
- Tier II, radius 32: 1 Diamond Block, 8 Crying Obsidian, 8 Amethyst Blocks
- Tier III, radius 64: 4 Netherite Ingots, 8 Diamond Blocks, 8 Echo Shards
- Tier IV, radius 128: 1 Nether Star, 2 Netherite Blocks, 16 Diamond Blocks, 16 Echo Shards
- Tier V, radius 256: 2 Nether Stars, 4 Netherite Blocks, 32 Diamond Blocks, 32 Echo Shards
Expensive mode doubles those costs; Free mode removes them. A successful upgrade selects the new tier cap unless the world radius maximum or overlap rules require a lower valid value.
The owner or an operator selects an online player. The recipient becomes the owner and is removed from the member list. The former owner loses access unless the new owner adds them as a trusted member.
Controls entity damage separately for each explosion source. Every switch defaults off, preserving ordinary explosion damage to players and mobs even when blocks are protected. World source and dimension controls still apply.

The footprint is dimension-specific. Protection outside the fixed vertical range requires another rune at a different height.
