Version 3.1.19 for Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.21.90 and newer.
Item frames that match your build. Dye them in a cauldron the same way you dye leather armor, in all 16 colors, and keep every native item frame behavior you already rely on.
Only the leather center takes the color. The wooden border stays vanilla.
- Obtain any dye to unlock the recipes.
- Craft a Dyeable Item Frame from one Item Frame and one Leather.
- Fill a cauldron with water and add your dye.
- Hold the frame stack and interact with the dyed water.
- Place the frame. The color stays with it.
- Getting started — requirements, installation, crafting, and dyeing your first frame.
- Features and configuration — colors, glow frames, placement, and the DyeFrameSettings tool.
- Compatibility and troubleshooting — supported versions, resource packs, and fixes.
- License and creator permissions — player, server, Realm, and content-creator terms.
Dye color is stored on the frame itself. Break a placed frame and it drops in the color you dyed it, ready to place again.
