Vanilla item frames, glow item frames, and their recipes are left alone. This add-on only adds the two dyeable items and their recipes, so worlds and builds that already use item frames are unaffected.
A resource pack that retextures item frames changes the wooden border, because that border is the vanilla texture. The dyed leather center comes from this add-on and is not affected.
If a resource pack replaces the item frame model rather than only its texture, the dyed panel may not line up. Move this add-on above the other pack in your resource pack order and reopen the world.
Obtain any dye at least once. That unlocks both recipes in the recipe book.
Frames placed on walls pick up the fix as soon as you load back in.
Frames placed underneath a block were positioned incorrectly by earlier versions. Break them and place them again and they will come back right.
That is expected. Dyeing applies to the held stack, not to a single frame.
If the cauldron water holds a mix of dyes, the placed frame uses the closest of the 16 supported colors.
Confirm both packs are active and at the same version. The behavior pack places the frame and the resource pack draws the dyed panel, so an active behavior pack with an inactive or mismatched resource pack shows plain frames.
The name must be exactly DyeFrameSettings, renamed in an anvil. Hold it and interact directly with a placed frame.
Include your Minecraft version, platform, whether you are in a world, Realm, or server, your other active add-ons and resource packs, and the steps that led to the problem.
