- Enter the world.
Back up important worlds before installing or updating any add-on.
Both recipes are shapeless and use a Crafting Table.
1 Item Frame + 1 Leather = 1 Dyeable Item Frame
1 Glow Item Frame + 1 Leather = 1 Dyeable Glow Item Frame
Obtaining any of the 16 dyes unlocks both recipes in your recipe book.
- Place a cauldron and fill it with water.
- Interact with the water while holding the dye you want.
- Hold a stack of Dyeable Item Frames or Dyeable Glow Item Frames.
- Interact with the dyed water.
The whole held stack takes the color at once, so dye a full stack before you start placing.
If you mix dyes into a shade that is not one of the 16, the placed frame uses the closest supported color.
Place them exactly as you would a vanilla item frame. Walls, floors, and ceilings all work, and the dyed panel shows correctly on all six sides.
Break a frame and it drops in its dyed color, so you can never lose the color by picking one back up.
