HandiNAVI Commands
HandiNAVI provides a number of commands for administering your Ultrastructure instance. These are command line tools that are invoked by running the HandiNAVI executable jar file. It is assumed by the commands that you are running in an environment with the JDBC_URL system environment variable correctly set to your PostgreSQL database instance.
Commands are invoked by executing the HandiNAVI jar:
java -jar navi.jar <command> <args...>
Running the HandiNAVI jar without arguments will provide top level help on all available commands. You may then use the help facilities for detailed help on any command
The bootstrap command will initial the Ultrastructure instance into the PostrgreSQL database. This is used to load the Ultrastructure schemas and bootstrap the kernel workspace of the instance.
This command is idempotent in that you can only initialize the instance once. The bootstrap will also apply any incremental schema changes that may need to be applied periodically as the system evolves.
The clear command will drop the Ultrastructure schemas from the PostgreSQL database. All data is dropped.
The snap command creates a snapshot of the Ultrastructure instance data not present in workspaces.
The load command will load workspace snapshots into the Ultrastructure instance.
The load-snap command will load a state snapshot into the Ultrastructure instance
The manifest command will manifest a workspace in the Ultrastructure instance given a workspace DSL
