LINUX AND MACOS CATCH UP (huge thanks to quasarj, who did the work). Everything Windows gained across 1.74-1.81 is now in the cross-platform build too: the EPICS checklist card with its per-class tabs and undoable "Epic complete" master check; BUFF SETS in full, including the breakout window, the "lost this session" history and the Options editor; VOICE CONTROL's voice picker, rate, volume and per-rule spoken phrases; LEVEL-UP UNLOCKS on the Progress card; the Gear card's farm-zone grouping and self-ticking wishes; Sky Quest turn-in NPCs with per-tab counts and the cross-class Ready tab; right-click spawn-point curation on the zone map; copy buttons on every in-game command EQBuddy asks you to run; the tray icon; global hotkeys; and per-window Ctrl+wheel zoom. EQBuddy Mobile stays Windows-only for now.
FIXED - MEZ AND SPAWN CHIPS CREPT UP THE SCREEN ON LINUX AND MACOS, one chip's height per reopen, if you use "grow upwards". This is the same pair of bugs Windows fixed in 1.82.0 (discussions #122 and #152, thanks Snagglefern) - the cross-platform build had been written against the older code and inherited both. Both builds now share one piece of anchoring logic, so a fix in either place can only ever land in both.
THE GEAR LOCKER NOW TELLS YOU WHAT TO SWAP IN (discussion #145, thanks skwayb). It already flagged which of your items were ⬇ outclassed by others you own; what it never said was which one is actually on your character. Now it does - ★ marks what you're wearing in each slot, and anything in your bags that beats it on every stat both items carry is marked ⬆ upgrade over worn X. Two deliberate refusals: an item class-locked away from you is never suggested, and a plain item never claims to beat a worn "+N", because the wiki lists base stats and an upgraded item reads lower here than it really is - being told to unequip your best piece would be worse than being told nothing. As always this reads your bags against your own character and nobody else's.
YOUR LOGS ARE KEPT NOW, NOT EMPTIED (discussion #146, thanks wizen). EQBuddy tidies up finished session logs so they don't grow without bound - but until now the out-of-the-box behaviour was to empty the file and keep nothing, which is a decision nobody asked it to make. Archiving is ON by default from this release, and it is switched on for existing installs too: each finished session is saved to Logs\archive as eqlog_name_server_YYYYMMDDHHMMSS.txt, and Reset session splits the log there rather than letting it run on. They're text files, as wizen pointed out - the space is worth less than the history. If you would rather have it back, one untick in ⚙ Options → "Keep a timestamped copy before emptying" returns the old behaviour, and it stays off once you set it. EQBuddy never deletes anything in Logs\archive.
SPAWN TIMER - A NISCH MAS MENDER in Splitpaw Lair now has a respawn timer of 7m51s (thanks to the shared-knowledge pack in discussion #147). This fills a blank rather than replacing a published figure: the wiki has no number for it. It rests on a single sample, so if you camp that Mender, Map → Share zone knowledge and post it on #147 - a second independent set is what turns this from a good guess into a fact.
EQBuddy is a BETA - if something reads wrong, tell us: ⚙ → Help → Send feedback.
